If your a fan of the film BlackHawk Down then you have to buy the game. This game has been well written as it follows the original story of the US soldiers.
When in 1993, US Special Operation Forces entered Somalia to keep the peace. This turned into a full scale war, and many people lost their lives in over 10 months of fighting.
This games has it all, from challenging missions and objectives. As a soldier you have to protect civilians, intercept weapon shipments, destroy enemy communictions.
You have the ability to take control of some amazing weapons mounted on Humvee jeeps and amoured vehicles. However this was a little dissapointing as you cant take control of the vehicles. So there isnt the freedom you have with other similar games ie. Battlefield 1942.
The detail is superb within the game from burnt out buildings, room clearouts with grenades, and helicopters flying above as your extraction point. This all adds to the emmese atmosphere that this game gives the user. The deatils of the weapons are amazing as well from over 25 to choose from.
Another great feature is the abiltiy to command your own teammates. Tell them to cover your back or take down a room for you. Wow.
This game comes alive when you play online. Either with a server on Novaworld, which you can access within the game or on your Local area network. With thousands of players waiting to challenge you, the playability will keep on going.
Here is a breakdown of the game:
Graphics (9/10): These are amazing one of the best games around to test your PC.
Sounds (8/10): With wow factor sounds from the mounted turrets or M16.
Playability (7/10): Good playability, however could be better with more freedom on the maps. You can go online though. The keys are not bad to master too, as you do recieve a keyboard overlay. Nice touch.
Spec (8/10): Recommend 1Ghz, 64mb Geforce 4 graphics card, 512mb ddr. So not that high spec.
Price (7/10): Its £34.99 in the shops, however I would go to Amazon its under £30.
There it is in a nutshell, if your a fan of first person shoot em ups you have to get this game. Go and buy it.

Advantages: Extremely realistic, excelent graphics and gameplay, single player provides endless fun, let alone the multiplayer- online experience! Disadvantages: For best gameplay you need a high spec PC and at least a DSL internet connection for multiplayer
