I use freederm cleanser after I have taken my make-up off with wipes and I find this really gentle and great for my skin. I use this exfoliator about twice a week and tend to use it instead of the cleanser as it says on the tube that it has "advanced deep pre cleansing action".
I found that the smell of this product is fresh, maybe slightly chemically but not overpoweringly so. The product comes out as a light blue, nearly clear gel with darker blue grains in it. Unlike other facial exfoliators I have not found this one to be harsh on the skin at all. It's like you can't really feel the grains but you know they have done their job because your face is left looking brighter and fresher afterwards. Because this exfoliator is quite gentle I would definitely recommend it for sensitive skin types.
One down point about this product I have found is the fact that it contains Sodium Laureth Sulfate; a very popular ingredient in shampoo. My skin is quite allergic to this chemical for some reason and so if I leave this product on my face for too long then it does make it go red, but this soon dies down in about 10 minutes after rinsing. To combat this problem I simply don't leave it on for too long. (3 minutes tops)
I use about a 5-10p sized amount of this product whilst I am in the shower. It goes on nicely and afterwards, if I had any new spots coming up it has appeared to help them go down a bit. After splashing my face with cold water to close my pores I then use the Freederm moisturiser.
You get a 150ml bottle/tube of the product and I have had this for about 9 months and am about now coming to the end; so it is quite good value for money.
Overall I would say that this Freederm Exfoliating Facial Wash helps combat spots, does a good job at exfoliating and is really good in the summer when spot-prone skin gets even oiler than normal.
I have suffered from moderately bad spots and blackheads from the age of 12 and they have recently got worse, now with the addition of open pores. I have been through basically every product possible, and so far, this seems to be working fairly well. The product is like a gel cleanser, with gentle exfoliating beads in it. Although it hasn't got rid of my spots, it has definitely shrunk the worst of them, and delayed outbreaks and my skin doesn't ...
