My review of floss
Review of Oral B Ultra Floss by
KPN7
Advantages: Nice taste, Cheapish.
Disadvantages: Large holder.
...is one aspect of our oral hygiene which we always ignore and do not tend to bother with much however flossing realy can help keep oral hygiene at its best. Flossing firstly helps to remove any food which is stuck in between the teeth which can irritate both the teeth and the gums and secondly it helps to remove food and other things in the teeth which can cause decaying and bad breath. Also which I didnt know until I went to the dentist recently ... ...abses which let me tell you is probably one of the most painful experiences which you will ever have at a dentist. It was for me anyway. You cannot escape the pain which it cause. However if you floss too frequently or go to far up into the tooth then flossing can damage teeth and also damage gums. If after flossing your gums bleed then I would advice you to go straight to your dentist as that shouldnt happen.
Well this floss is firstly reasnobly ...

Have you flossed today
Review of Boots Dental Care by
Sky7
Advantages: Good for getting between narrow gaps in teeth
Disadvantages: bleeding gums
I've only just discovered dental floss after being told to use it by my dentist. I've had a fixed retainer brace for 10 years and have just had it removed so only now am I able to use it properly.
I've found this dental tape to be more effective than floss, due to my brace my teeth are very close together and usual dental floss is too thick to get between the gaps.
The tape is cheap at about £2 and you get quite a bit in the dispenser [sorry, not ... ...a couple of months] As a novice at flossing its taken some practice to get the hang of it! It has a subtle and pleasant mint flavour and doesn't cut into your fingers during use. I've been using it twice a day, initially my gums have bleed a bit but this is more than likely down to my technique!
I think for the reasonable price and the quantity you get this is a product I would use again, I will update my op when I have got a bit more practice at ...

Colgate Dental Floss
Review of Colgate Dental Floss by
birchyboy
Advantages: Gets between the closest teeth and doesn't shred
Disadvantages: Expensive
...I then tried Colgate Dental Floss, which appears to be pure white PTFE (non-stick coating material) and this easily removed the old floss. This floss is so good that I have been using it for some years and occasionally, I use the medicated version coated with chlorohexidine (used in some mouthwashes), if I haven't been able to use floss (e.g. when travelling and having run out). I now no longer get any bleeding at all, even when the dentist pokes ...

Flossing is no longer a swear word.
Review of Oral B Dental Flossettes by
spottydog2
Advantages: Important for good dental hygiene.
Disadvantages: Expensive.
...he introduced me to the Oral B Dental Flossettes which were absolutely wonderful though a bit expensive. Since then, I can now say that daily flossing is now part of my routine.
Why Floss?
* * * * * * * * *
Flossing is important to help clean the teeth by removing food and plaque build up between the teeth. Apparently flossing is even more effective than cleaning the teeth, though cleaning the teeth certainly makes the mouth feel fresher. It will ... ...daily.
What are Oral B Dental Flossettes?
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
I bought these from the dentist and I thought they were quite expensive at the time, there were 10 and I can`t remember exactly how much they cost, they were aroud £2 I think. I have been using a cheaper brand since, though I was impressed with them, cheaper ones are just as good. I have not seen these ones since. The ones that I buy now range from £1.89 ...

Review of Oral B Waxed Dental Floss by

Advantages: easier to floss in

...Back to the topic, oral B waxed dental floss provides a better cleaning of food debris trapped in interproximal areas of the teeth than a non-wax coated one. It is suitable to be used in patient which have tight contact point, which means in patients who have impacted and crowded teeth. If you do not have a good mouth of teeth in proper alignment. I mean you have this tooth overlap on the other, and so on, you might experience problem when using ... ...the way!
