Have you flossed today
Review of Boots Dental Care by Sky7

Advantages: Good for getting between narrow gaps in teeth
Disadvantages: bleeding gums

I've only just discovered dental floss after being told to use it by my dentist. I've had a fixed retainer brace for 10 years and have just had it removed so only now am I able to use it properly. I've found this dental tape to be more effective than floss, due to my brace my teeth are very close together and usual dental floss is too thick to get between the gaps. The tape is cheap at about £2 and you get quite a bit in the dispenser [sorry, not ...
...a couple of months] As a novice at flossing its taken some practice to get the hang of it! It has a subtle and pleasant mint flavour and doesn't cut into your fingers during use. I've been using it twice a day, initially my gums have bleed a bit but this is more than likely down to my technique! I think for the reasonable price and the quantity you get this is a product I would use again, I will update my op when I have got a bit more practice at ... Read review

Far too abrasive
Review of Colgate Dental Care by Rosemary1

Advantages: Easy to use and does seem to get right between the teeth
Disadvantages: Bleeding gums

This dental floss came in a need well packaged blue flap up container, easy to open and use. Although it certainly is great at flossing the teeth and getting into this hard to get to positions. I was very disappointed to find the tape very abrasive although it is flatter, wider, smoother and stronger than the stringy tape found in the Oral B waxed with fluoride Dental Floss. For some reason it is so sharp it actually cuts the gum. I tried it on several ... Read review

Advantages: Quick, Easy, Gets in those tight spots!
Disadvantages: Takes a while to get used to if your new at flossing

I've used several of the sensodyne Flosses and they are all designed with sensitive teeth in mind, hence the name sensodyne. They all have a pleasant mint flavour, a variety of choices for your particular preference and they even have special fibres that resist from shredding or breaking. Sensodyne Smooth Tape It has a smooth, flat design that will fit in all those little tight spaces between your teeth. Definitely worth buying as it removes plaque ...

Hold the floss tight, using your thumbs and forefingers, and gently guide it between your teeth. 3. Gently scrape the side of every tooth with the floss 2 to 3 times. Do not forget the backs of your last molars. 4. Wrap the floss into a "C" shape around the base of the tooth and under the gumline. 5. Move to a new area of floss ... Read review

Oral -B Essential Floss - Waxed dental floss **WHAT IT DOES** It flosses your teeth removing plaque and food debris. ...is highlighted in yellow. The Oral B logo is on the front. The background is blue and the corner is green to highlight the word 'mint'. The lid is at the top and you click it open, it will not come completely off as it is still attached to the container. To close you click the lid back down to securely close it. Once opened you can see the dental floss and it is coming out of the container and sits in a metal bit, which also cuts the floss when needed. ... Read review
