Who or What is Dentinox? Dentinox specialize in the baby market, and have done so for over 40 years. They also make lots of other products such as teething gel, colic drops and teething toothpaste. All products are designed for babies from birth, unlike a lot of other products that have age ranges on them. I found this to be especially helpful as knowing what products are safe to use on your baby is a big help. What is Cradle Cap? When Sam was born he was two weeks overdue so was covered in dry skin from top to toe. Since birth he had cradle cap. Cradle cap is natural, and very normal (despite ... more

My daughter suffered quite bad with cradlecap when she was a few months old, and I thought this shampoo was rubbish, probably because I didn't persevere with it. Just recently she started suffering again. I am an awful picker, and started to pick at it, that's when I thought I'd give this shampoo another go. Packaging The shampoo comes in a basic bottle, it's white and has green writing. It comes in a box and at a first glance, looks like a medicine! On the back it has the directions for use and ingredients. The 125ml bottle has a flip lid to get the product out, it's easy to open with open ... more

Leah has had mild cradle cap for quite a while, but recently I noticed it was getting worse. What is Cradle Cap? ------------------------------ Cradle cap, or seborrhoeic dermatitis, is fairly common in babies and even in young children. It is a bit like dandruff, but more visible with unsightly scaly patches on the scalp which are dry and flaky. The patches are usually yellowish in colour. It doesn't hurt the baby, but can be slightly itchy. It is thought to be caused by a build up of dead skin cells which build up rather than falling off. Although it doesn't hurt, it does look horrible, and ... more

Our youngest Son (like our Eldest) has Eczema. This seems to have made his cradle cap worse and more noticeable. I purchased Dentinox Cradle Cap treatment shampoo from my local chemist and it cost £2.00 for a 125ml bottle. Dentinox Cradle cap treatment shampoo is for the treatment of infant cradle cap and can be used for the general care of infant scalp and hair. Cradle cap is a common condition of the skin which causes dry, flaky, itchy scalp and is not serious, but it makes the skin on baby's head look scaly. As an addition to Eczema, I am sure that it drives our Son mad as he is constantly ... more
