Advantages Quick and virtually instant relief

Disadvantages can be hard to get off your finger

If like me, you have a young baby and are experiencing the joy of sleepless nights due to teething. Then you'll be pleased to hear about Dentinox teething gel. This has been a godsend to me as I have found it very effective in combatting teething pains, and I haven't had one sleepless night thanks to it.

Dentinox was recommended to me by my health visitor and a few of my friends have also told me how good its been for them, so I thought I'd give it a go.

Dentinox teething gel is available in most superstores and chemists. It is relatively cheap and easy to apply, although can be messy as the gel can stick to your finger and I find my sons gums are wet and this doesn't help when trying to rub the gel on. He also likes the taste of the gel so he tends to lick it off my finger so most of it goes on his tongue.

However, once it is applied to the tender area, it can give instant relief up to 20 minutes. Should your baby still be in pain, then you can re-apply further gel after this time, but no more than 6 applications are to be given in 24 hours.

Dentinox works by numbing the gums and it has a very pleasant taste. I know this because during the festive period I had the misfortune of suffering a mouth ulcer. In my desperation I raided the medicine cupboard and fell upon my tube of dentinox. It certainly helped get rid of the mouth ulcer, and so far it is helping my son's teething pains.

I would certainly recommend this product as it can be used by the whole family in times of emergency.

    Not heard of this (but that's not really surprising since I don't have kids!), my sister used Bonjella all the time with hers - think they got addicted to it in the end! Jane x
