    Have you ever noticed, whilst out shopping in supermarkets or chemists, how many different types of toothpastes there are ? In a recent trip to my local store, I counted over twenty different brands. There were pastes, gels and powders. There was peppermint flavoured, spearmint, freshmint, and orange and strawberry flavours for kids. There was whitening, fresh breath, fluoride, tartar control, gum protection, smokers, sensitive and extra sensitive varieties. How many ways can there be to clean your teeth ?     I do not have the strongest teeth in the world but over the last couple of years I have gone out of my way to keep them as healthy as possible. I have always brushed regularly but now I floss and use a mouthwash as well. This routine has certainly helped my oral health and (touch wood!) my teeth have not needed major work for quite a while now. As I say I have been using mouthwashes regularly but I had become alarmed by the scare stories I had heard about the alcohol content being implicated in the development of some oral cancers.     I am very protective of my teeth, and am never happy when my dad used to come home with asda;s cheap mouth wash bottles. It not only tasted horrid, but clearly it was not that good for you! Now I am in charge of what mouth wash I use, and amways go for Dentyl pH! The mouth wash comes in three colours: green, pink and blue. The one I always get is pink - seeing as it is my favourite colour, its what you could expect!.     I've recently taken a liking to gel-type toothpaste and I was tempted to buy this one because it has unusual antibacterial micro-capsules. And it was on offer. It comes in 2 varieties: Mint (which I bought) and Clove.     I am always keen on making sure I look good and smell good. Bad breath is quite an embarrasing condition and this is why I always have a pack of chewing gum with me. I have considered using mouthwash but after hearing stories about the connection between mouthwash and mouth cancer, I completely put off the idea until I found this brand. It is believed that using alcohol mouthwash can increase your risk of mouth cancer and there is not a lot of brands in the market that are alcohol free.
