Can We Shop Online Please?

Advantages: Cheap Prices
Disadvantages: Low quality, queueing and unorganised

Primark has been around for many many years and the first version of Primark, known as Penney's (which are still available in Ireland) were opended in Southern Ireland in 1969. 2 years later, 1971, there were 11 more stores and even one in Northern Ireland. Another 2 years later, 1973, the number of stores was up to 18 and more and more Primarks were getting opened in Great Britain. Primark sells so many items, its hard to walk in and not find something! ...
...been to both Penneys and Primark and have to say their range of clothing items is absolutely mind blowing! Primark had not always been so popular up until about 5-6 years ago. It had always been there but not everyone shopped there. People had heard of the jaw droppingly low prices but would only shop there if they had to. Nowadays people shop here on a regular basis and its popularity whether for the good or bad is growing and growing fast! When ...

Poor level of customer service at M&S

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Loss of trust in retailer

7 years on since Diane's experience and nothing has changed with M&S's poor customer service! I have recently bought a Summer dress from the Per Una range. After only wearing it once, the fabric had come apart on one of the sleeves. There must have been a fault in the weaving that was not visibly apparent at first. I still had the receipt as I had only bought the dress 3 weeks ago. I took it back to the M&S store and asked for an exchange for the ...
...Per Una had a different returns policy than the rest of the M&S range and the dress couldn't be exchanged! She said it would have to be sent away to the Per Una lab to be examined!! She pointed out this could take 3-4 weeks!!! I didn't want to be without the dress for such a long period of time so asked for a refund but was denied that, too. To top it all, the manager suggested I could always buy another dress!! Now I will write a letter of complaint ...

Debenhams Silverburn

Advantages: Lovely store
Disadvantages: No staff to sell anythings!!!

Debenhams Silverburn, Scotland: Worst Debenhams store I have ever visited, no staff on shoe department, stood waiting on staff for over 15 minutes, also no staff again on the jewellery counter. In changing rooms two persons working felt very unwelcome and hurried. I regularly shop in Debenhams and spend on avaerage over £150 a month inthis store but will never visit this store again. Great store nice layout, smaller than the city centre store but ...
...Beauty staff are always very stuck up and again unwelcolming and if one girl is on her break then someone on another counter has to cover and 9 times out of 10 does not know where anything is and asks you to come back in 20 minutes. I find this very anoying as; if I want to buy something I want to buy it there and then. ...

unfortunate

Advantages: no problems with asking for a refund however i did have the receipt and packaging was unopened.
Disadvantages: Voices were raised, store manager was unavailable.

...few house warming gifts from Bhs all with recieipt and orginal packaging. I decided these gifts were not to my taste and requested a refund. I was given a credit note and was told that i had six months to use these within. A few day ago i went back to bhs and decided i would purshase a few items, at checkout i was told that my credit note was unacceptable REASON being was the amount was large, although the barcode and issue date was valid and visible ...
...the date was visible. I gave a time and date for when i refunded my unwanted gift onto a credit note and asked them to check it on the system again I was told headoffice only had acess to this sort of information. Even though i went to the store which issued me the refund. i mean if this was the case i would have Kept my unwanted gifts and given them to a better course such as a charity. I know the recession has hit us hard but their no reason why ...
