this is the best bike i will ever own. its reliable as fuck. and i've had every problem going.
i have had electrics break on me, charging circuts go down, fuel starvation, carb drain, clutch failure. and it still keeps going!
mine's a 2000 y reg one and although its not the new, coolest, look @ me i got money version. its stil quick as f**K. i mean it soldiered on with a damaged crank bearing and still did 50mph. which is faster then mosta me mates.
im currently referbing me engine to sort that problem out. but it had done over 20 000 km so its not done bad!

looks mean as fuck as well. i got a satin black exhaust, and kawasaki green paint. lol. going along the road u get all the 'big boys' on their gsxr's nodding in appreciation. lol

grippy little thing as well. u can throw that into corners like a 600 and it'll stick.
so apart from being grippy, good lookin and gets alot of appreciation from the bigger boys for not doing only 30!! (lol), its reliable once properly fixed. one ting i'd look out for when bouying one is tattiness. if its tatty lookin, there may be some problems to fix. but generally these are simpkle tings like new spade connectors on the electrics. at the most.
All derbi's are reliable. apart from the engines they sell to aprillia, id say buy a derbi instead of an rs50 as they break ALL THE TIME. i got mates with them. and they both have had t have them off the road to do major bits.

MAINLY: they are unexpected. they look like an rs50, so people think unreliable an slow unless tuned to f**k. but they go like stink with cheap mods such as de-restricting.
mine has a race clutch, and has a new reed valve and absolutely flies. when i find is top speed ( maybe in the summer0 ill let you all know. aftermaket exhausts are a waste of oney with these. for major tuning, id say shave 0.2mm off the top of the head and put a 0.2mm oversize gasket on the bottom.
this alters the port timing and gives longer for more fuel to get in. it'll certianly fly then. id just be weary of things like bearings and change them at the same time.

so fats and reliable. durable as well btw buys! so id recomend that you get one of these. just dont go buying the newest model. they are getting more and more cheaply made an unreliable. lol so dont go for pure looks. get the pedigree racer.
