I had been using dermalogica cleanser and toner and found that it was working well with my skin - so I anted to delve a little deeper into the product range. I wanted a product which would make my skin feel clean, smooth and fresh while keeping the moisture in and I have to say I've found it in this. Dermalogica products are natural and makes your skin feel good without feeling like its been stripped of its natural oils etc. Daily Microfoliant is gentle enough to use on a daily basis - however, I've been using it every other day and it find works fine like that. I paid £22 for the 75g size and so far this has lasted me 5 months and I still have quite a lot left so it is excellent value for money.
This Microfoliant is in a powder form & you need to sprinkle some on your hand and mix with a little bit of water so it becomes a paste you then need to massage it on your face for around a minute and rinse off. The result is smooth feeling skin, it feels instantly fresh and clean. I normally then follow it with some cleanser and toner or if my skin is in need then I use a face mask after using this so my skin can soak up the nutrients of the mask.
I like using this product because it feels completely natural as the exfoliating property in it is made from a rice based enzyme powder which activates upon contact with water. This helps to smooth the skin and accelerate cell renewal. There is also a skin brightening complex in this which consists of Bearberry, Aspergillus, Grapefruit and Licorice which helps to balance uneven skin pigmentation. It also contains a blend of Green Tea, Ginkgo and Colloidal Oatmeal which calms inflammation and leaves the skin clear and refreshed you can definitely see a difference from before and after exfoliating. I also find that after the exfoliating I can put on a thick moisturiser (currently im using crème de la mer) and this benefits the skin greatly.
Enough about the product & where can you buy?? Well I've found it difficult to find Dermalogica in the shops - which made me shop around on the internet and I have found 2 very good websites. The first one is www.salonskincare.com - they do free shipping over £50 and the products are with you within a few days, not to mention the generous amount of samples they give too. I find this a god way of sampling new products which you might want to purchase later on or even to take on holiday with you. The prices are very competitive too which is always good! The second website I have found is www.jerseybeautycompany.co.uk I have yet to order from here (I only found this site the other day) but the prices are very good and they do free shipping. I will be placing my next order with them and I will update this review when I have done.
