I have been using Dermalogica products for around 6 months now - I was a Clarins addict before but I found that after a while it wasn't working as well as it used to. So Dermalogica was recommended to me by a family friend. I had always seen good press coverage of it but had never really seen it in the shops. I now know that you either need to buy it from an authorised retailer or on the internet. What I think really sells it for me is that it is formulated my actual dermatologists rather than cosmetic companies & the ingredients are all natural so you know what you are using, which I always find reassuring.

I was introduced to Dermalogica by a skin care therapist. i didn't think i would use it at first, as its way more then i would ever spend on a face cleanser, but i got some free samples of Special Cleansing Gel and got hooked!
The Special Cleansing Gel is soap free and for a normal to oily skin type, or a combination skin, which is useful to most people as that is the most common skin type. All Dermalogica products are fine for sensitive skin.
It cost me £20 for a 50ml bottle at my local beauty salon, but its well worth the price. For one thing, four months later i still have a little left in the bottle, washing twice a day. I never go anywhere without Special Cleansing Gel. It effectively removes all make-up and dirt without drying out the face. It's suitable for oily and combination skin.
Special Cleansing Gel comes in three sizes: travel size bottle 100ml, normal size bottle 250ml and finally a huge bottle 500ml.
Dermalogica range is a bit more expensive, but a little goes a long way - just a little squeeze is enough for the entire face. It smells ok too. Some facial cleansing gels have a horrible perfumed smell or pharmaceutical smell. Although it contains lavender, you wouldn't even know that it's in there by smelling it.
