Advantages Advantages Cleanses skin of oily residues and unblocks pores to prevent outbreaks.

Disadvantages Disadvantages If you don't have particularly oily skin then this may not be suitable.

In general I have mainly used Clinique for Men for my skincare products with enough success to be happy with their products and my skin. I do however like to give new things a try and although Dermalogica do a range of products and a kit especially designed for men, I opted to give the Dermalogica MediBac clearing skin wash a try as it is in no way aimed specifically at women. I think the reason why most skincare brands have a range 'specially formulated' for men is that men don't want to be seen buying/using the same products as women, the branding is generally a lot more masculine and I ... more

I used to have great skin but over the last year its become oily, spotty and blemished. After using lots of different products a salon therapist recommended using the Dermalogica MediBac range. As a start I purchased the Skin Clearing Wash. What a mistake that was! Firstly, before using any products I always read the packaging and any leaflets that come with it to ensure I use it correctly, following any directions. The Dermalogica packaging and leaflet had no directions. I used this wash for only a few days: Monday morning and night, Tuesday morning and night and Wednesday morning. Whilst at ... more

My nightmare began when I sent off for the dermalogica 'medibac concealer' and was sent a sample of medibac 'skin clearing wash' i was having a little breakout (couple of spots on chin) so thought id try the sample.. i was recommended this wash by a harvey nichols therapist. I explained I had sensitive skin and wanted to try and keep my 'few' spots (not acne) under control and what she would recommend. she told me this was for adult spots and less harsh than other products such as clearasil etc. so I trusted her - afterall she was a therapist in an expensive department store - but after 2 days of washign with this - my skin felt hot, tight and sore to touch. Next day i had over a hundred tiny whiteheads/pimples all over my face, in particular around my nose, upper lip and jawline. This mornign they are ... more

Advantages Advantages made skin less greasy

Disadvantages Disadvantages price, completely changed texture of my skin, didnt work.

I bought this face wash as part of a set of the Dermalogica Medibac products. I have only been using it for 3 days with the other products in the kit and already it has made my skin considerably worse. I now have sore, rough skin around my nose and the same on my chin and have had a significant increase of small white heads appearing where they weren't before. I have suffered from acne since my teens and am now coming to the tail end of it (or so i thought) and bought the Dermalogica products as a last ditch attempt to clear it up. Unfortunately it has done the opposite and my skin is worse ... more
