I am an 18 year old male and although i dont consider myself to have severe acne, my skin is spot prone and looks pretty bad at times especially in winter, i suppose this is mostly due to my age and might have something to do with a fast food addiction and a phobia of vegetables i had as a youngster, anyway i have been looking for a product to help my skin for several months now and i have had bad experiences with several other products from different companies.
I was first interested in tryin a dermalogica product when i heard that they dont advertise and instead try to gain recognition by word of mouth, i thought this was good as i had previously been a victim of advertising in regard to other skincare products not doing what they claim in the advert.
I finally decided to take myself down to a nearby salon and spoke to a specialist, She recommended i used two products the anti bac skin wash to prevent spots and the barrier repairmoisturiser to help my skin reform against the negative affects that this countries cold winds have been having on me.
The products seemed expensive as i paid £8.10 for a travel size anti bac skin wash (thank god i didnt pay more for a bigger size) and £22 for the barrier repair, but this didnt bother me as i felt it would be money well spent if my complexion improved and so i therefore new there was something i could use on a regular basis that would not aggrevate my skin. I didnt exactly expect for every blemish to dissapear as soon as i opened the bottle but i dont think i was unreasonable in expecting that a product of that price would have a positive affect on my skin.
However since applying the products i feel they have had a more negative affect on my skin and my skin looks worse than when i dont apply any product, i've had more spot outbreaks since and a new found redness on my cheeks, As everyones skin is different and judgeing by the other reviews on here i dont doubt that these products have worked well for other people in the past, but i felt obliged to right this seeing as it was this very website i got my initial reccomendations from and i thought i ought to let others know that it might not work for them.
It may be worthwhile for some to use this product but i would reccomend tryin to obtain some samples first, to see how the products work for you, and so you dont waste your money like i did.

Hi, trying something new isn't easy. I have tried almost everything from drugstore to Murad/Proactiv. And I feel sorry that this product didn't work for you but have u considered using the product for at least 2 months. THERE ARE UNDERLYING ACNE UNDER YOUR SKIN THAT U CANNOT SEE THAT NEEDS TO COME OUT!!! SO IF U SEE MORE ACNE THE PRODUCT MIGHT JUST BE WORKING!!!HAVE U THOUGHT OF THAT!!!! SECONDLY THIS PRODUCT HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING THATS IRRITATING AND HAS NO MORE THAN 15 INGREDIENTS IN IT (THIS IS GOOD). THERE IS ALOT MORE BEHIND GETTING HEALTHY SKIN (HORMONES-ANDROGENS THAT CAN CAUSE AN INCREASE IN SEBUM, BACTERIA, POOR DIET, LACK OF SUNSREEN, (IF U DON'T LIKE FRUITS OR VEGES TRY A MULTI VITAMIN), LACK OF ADEQUATE WATER, EATING STUFF THAT U KNOW CAN AGGREVATE ACNE, AND A LACK OF CONSISTANCY. BE PATIENT....U CANNOT EXPECT TO USE A PRODUCT FOR TWO WEEKS AND BE HEALED UNLESS U HAVE VERY MILD ACNE/MARKS. AND IF U HAVE SEVERE ACNE THAT IS ALL OVER YOUR FACE CONSULT A DERMATOLOGIST AND GET SOME PILLS OR SOMETHING. MY ACNE IS MARKS AND MY PROBLEM IS LESS OF BUMPS AND MORE OF DRK. MARKS BUT IT AIN'T BAD, I'M JUST VAIN THATS ALL. TO THE REST OF YOU PLEASE HAVE PATIENCE WITH WHATEVER PRODUCT U DECIDE TO USE .....I DO RESERCH ON EVERY LAST INGREDIENT AND THIS IS TOP OF THE LINE!!!!
