The Burj Al Arab

Advantages: Read Opp
Disadvantages: Price

?s. The architect, Tom Wright a British Architect was given the task of designing the iconic hotel. The owners wanted the hotel to be iconic to Dubai, much like the Eifel Tower is to Paris, or the Sydney Opera House is to Sydney. They wanted it to be a centrefold of Dubai, a building that would stand out from the skyline. The owners had decided to build the hotel on an artificial island and thus wanted the shape and design to reflect this; hence the shape resembles that of a boat, or a boat sail. Here is an interesting fact, the reason the Burj Al Arab was built on an artificial island was primarily down to strict Alcohol agreements in place at the time. Due to the strict Islamic rules still applied the alcohol agreements meant that they could not serve alcohol so close to the sea, don?t know why. So the owners decided that by creating the hotel ...

Review of Burj Al Arab Hotel, Dubai

Is this good marketing? - Principally...Yes!

Advantages: Easy to read, very informative
Disadvantages: Chapter maybe a bit too long at times

I bought this book from my student bookshop (Aston University campus) priced at a generous £44.99. This price rarely fluctuates, the cheapest I think being Waterstones, possibly £39.99 there. I bought this book for the course that I'm currently doing, BSc Business and Management. I am in the first-year of this course and this book was recommended by the university and the head Marketing lecturer early on in the module. This book also had, a 'OneKey' online Marketing module tests to be able to do alongside the course, coming free with it. This is a particularly good service to use if approaching a test or to simply check on progress. It is handy as the results are also re-layed back into the lecturer who the 'OneKey' is assigned to. The book itself is attractive enough from the outside, a decent cover, plenty of colours, and this is ...

Skin Doctor's Gamma Hydroxy Forte

Advantages: It really does what it claims!
Disadvantages: It's a bit pricey

Rating: Excellent Pro's: Smoother skin, reduced blemishes and sun spots. Cons: The price, some tingling. I started using the Alpha hydroxy cream after reading some reviews online. I am 34 with rather oily skin and the occasional breakout. According to what I read on the net, this cream was originally designed to treat acne scarring, but it proved to also reduce fine lines and improve skintone. In short: I love this cream. My skin has gotten very smooth and I rarely have breakouts anymore. My sunspots have nearly gone too. I do find that if I do not use the cream for a few days my skin returns to it's old state, so beware, it's addictive. The cream is quite thick and rich, and leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft. I use it at night, as it tends to make my oily skin a bit shiny. The smell is quite unique. I like it, it ...
