"I had owned my trusty HP Pavilion 1GHZ desktop computer since the turn of the century - (1999 to be exact, but turn of the century sound good doesn't it?) But, it was time to upgrade. I was quite happy with the machine taking the best part of whole morning to render my home videos ready to burn to DVD, but when I read in a Digital Photography magazine that effectively to edit and burn videos a processor of at least 2 GHZ (3+ recommended) and memory ..." PC Specialist.co.uk

AdvantagesNone

DisadvantagesDreadful customer and after sales service.

"I bought a laptop from pcspecialist.co.uk in December 2007 and it hasn't worked properly EVER! It is now January 2009!!! They have the worst customer service and after sales service I have ever come across. They're incompetence is surpassed by none. This may seem like a lot to read, but if you're contemplating buying anything from pcspecialist.co.uk, you'd be very wise to read on… Shortly after I got the laptop it began to freeze up over ..." Great price, poor quality

AdvantagesGood spec for the price

DisadvantagesVery poor build quality, poor customer service, time-consuming

Their team aren't very helpful and do not sound at all interested on the phone. My experience with them: So, I ordered a laptop from PC Specialist in January this year, my budget was £500 but was advised by a friend (who recommended the company to ..." Read review

PC Specialist - top end gaming machine

AdvantagesKnowledgeable staff. Easy to follow tracking system. Excellent interaction when problems arose.

DisadvantagesHandling of faulty monitor could have been improved.

"As a retirement present to ourselves, self and husband decided to push the boat out and buy a couple of heavy duty gaming machines. We both opted for pretty much the same spec: Case: COOLERMASTER HAF 932 FULL TOWER GAMING Processor: Intel® Core™i7 Processor Extreme Edition i7-980X ..." Read review
