Review of Packard Bell iMedia 4608 by matthew2007

Advantages: Sounds are very nice
Disadvantages: The harddrive is too small, Not enough RAM or Graphics Memory

...+ into their PC systems, Packard Bell gave me a 850 MhZ that couldnt keep up with the first PC Made! When I turned the PC on, I had to go away for about 10 minuted to let the thing load up fully to be used. You cannot fit a lot onto 20GB on a PC thats supposed to be for Media. Anyone knows that a movie takes up around 700MB - 1GB of space and if you want to store your DVD's on your PC you can only fit about 15 onto 20GB as you need space for other ...
...to replace it. Packard Bell make reliable PC's, they just dont put the relevant things into them. They need to try harder on new PC's to get them up to the standards! They should plan ahead, 300-500GB HDD's should now be put into PC's to cope with the new developments. ... Read review

The Dell Dimension 4300
Review of Dell Dimension 4300 by victorb

Advantages: Fully customizable, cheap and very fast.
Disadvantages: Bad news for other computer manufacturers

To describe the Dell Dimension 4300 is hard to do, considering that most of them built are completely different depending on users needs. When you purchase a Dell Dimension 4300 off of the dell web site you will be asked many questions about it like what size of monitor you would like, what size and the number (up to 4) of hard drives you would like, the operating system, graphics card, speakers, keyboard and anything else that you can think of. ...
...the whole system. Dell do this rather than sell the complete systems because components inside computers go out of date so quickly these days, epically if they are sitting in shop shelves for months on end so the computers aren’t built until you pick what you want in it so they are always up-to-date. In my college we have about 100 of these computers and they are very fast, especially when loading up. The operating system on the computers is windows ... Read review

Mac Mini, Basic offering packs a mighty punch!
Review of Apple Mac mini PPC G4 1.25 GHz by philglen

Advantages: Small, Well Equipped & Affordable
Disadvantages: You have to get used to a new Operating System

The most basic of the Apple Mac family, all I can say is WOW! I am a Web Developer and had to do some Mac testing, so bought the cheapest Mac Option at £399, it sat on the shelf unopened for 3 months then one day I needed it. I opened the box, and rigged it all up. To cut a long story short, I now use the Mac Mini as my main computer as it is still far superior to my £1000+ PC equivalent. To sum up the product, it is small and beautiful, yet still ... Read review

Evesham are First-Rate Company
Review of Evesham Axis 1333 by DonaldD

Advantages: Excellent Customer Support
Disadvantages: Slightly pricy but worth it

...brief history as to why Evesham are a Top Class Company (and, No, I don't work for them!) I first bought a PC in 1996 after studying the PC magazines for months. I chose a (then) Evesham Vale Platinum TX with a Pentiun 233MMX chip. I've had a few problems with it (the only hardware fault being a graphics card which was replaced without quibble). They have NEVER refused to help with technical queries or even with general questions about my PC. I ...
...bought a second PC from Evesham - an Origin PC with AMD Duron 650 processor. That has also worked faultlessly ever since. The only call I made to their technical department was a query I had about the motherboard and the maximum processor speed I could use on it(both were answered). I have been so happy with the PC (I work in the IT industry and have built my own PC's too) that whenever I know somebody is looking for a PC I refer them to Evesham. ... Read review

Bells and whistles galore
Review of Evesham Axis 1800+ Ti5 by tonytb

Advantages: Good combination of bits well put together
Disadvantages: Noisy fan, limited software supplied

...a little and finally selected Evesham for three reasons: First, it seemed to offer the maximum bang for each buck. Compared to its competition most components were of slightly higher specification. Second, the various magazines I read gave Evesham high marks for its machines and during my period of research it won various monthly awards for being best in class, which I saw as positive. Third, it was offered with a three year warranty, the first ...
...my latest acquisition on the Evesham website when I noticed that there was a new top of the range machine available, and at a price not greatly dissimilar from the spec I had ordered. A panic phone call followed and with absolutely no fuss the salesman agreed to modify my order. I ended up with an 1800 processor for another £40. The machine arrived without notice on 21 November in an assemblage of boxes of varying sizes and weights. Fortunately ... Read review
