IBM ThinkCentre A50 8085
Review of ThinkCentre A50 8085 - P4 3 GHz by
drummerer
Advantages: not too expensive, nice looking overall good pc
Disadvantages: a bit standard, not really exceptional
The ThinkCentre A50 8085 has lots of features and technology, including Intel Extreme Graphics 2 performance, six USB 2.0 ports, lots of security features, and powerful software tools to back up and protect your data. Overall i think this is an ok pc, providing you dont install too much memory on it.
I wont go into complicated details like memory size, RAM, etc because most people dont tend to understand them to well. Basicly, underneath all the ... ...for an average person. It would be ideal for a student, like me. I bought this pc for about £500 new recently.
But be warned! This, like many other computers, may seem great at first, but after a while it grinds to a halt while browsing the internet, freezes when playing games, and takes a lifetime to boot up. This of course is not all down to the computer itself, but how much software you install and how often you clean out temporary files, etc. ...

Powerhouse, budget gamer's dream!
Review of Dell XPS 420 by
BoyEngland
Advantages: Can play the latest games, fast boot-up, reliable, runs cool, runs quietly
Disadvantages: Price is a little steep, not all games are compatible with Quad Core processors
...built XPS 420 directly from Dell which contains a 2.40GHz Quad Core processor, 4GB RAM, an Nvidia GeForce 9800GT, and all the other good stuff a computer needs. I ordered it late night on a Sunday, and I had it setup and working by the Thursday. Best of all? Shipping was free!
Between pressing the power button and the computer being ready to use, you are looking at around 30 seconds. This includes me entering my password to log on. I see this as ... ...hadn't been for the current Dell offer and a discount code I had at the time. I will admit, I wouldn't have paid £920 for the system, no chance!
Since starting the computer for the first time, I haven't had a single problem with it that wasn't caused by a faulty disk or my lack of patience. I would recommend it to anyone, even gamers. ...

No disadvantages - so far...
Review of Dell Inspiron 530 - Pentium Dual Core E2140 1.6 GHz - 17" TFT by
Stanislav69
Advantages: double proccessor, never overheats, very quiet, selection of grpahics cards, enclosed in silver casing
Disadvantages: none
The Dell Inspiron 530 was a birthday present for me and is a very stylish and new computer.
This computer is very stylish because of the silver casing which covers the actual black computer box its self. Bothe DVD and optional blue ray disc drives are hidden making it look plain which also makes it look very neat and tidy. The Dual Core processor is capable of much more than it seems. All though Core 2 duo would be much better, the PC is able to ... ...that the 1.4Ghz is doubled meaning that the total output is actually a big 2.8Ghz! (reliable source - My dad who works for an IT buisness as a programer). There is also a selection of graphics cards to choose with this proccessor if bought online from dell. This computer makes little noise and is very quiet compared with my mums Packard Bell computer which has only a Pentium D proccessor.
There are no disadvantages to this computer so far and I ...
