Disadvantages: Hard Drive can be a bit noisy

Acer have made it very easy to overclock the CPU and RAM speeds via the BIOS, and my computer easily handles an increase from the 200Mhz sidebus up to 225Mhz, which brought the CPU speed up to 2.0Ghz without any increase in temperature or instability. ...that the Hard Disk is very noisy at times. It really is quite noisy, especially when scanning or transferring files, and seeing as my pc only has 256mb of ram it uses the hard disk more. Disadvantages: Rubbish speakers, could have more RAM

...and word processing on the Acer machine. Not long after I got it, I did upgrade the RAM, but that's easy and cheap to put another 1GB in yourself from eBay, only costs around £40. I also upgraded the video card for around £100, but then you've got a good processor, high enough RAM to run Windows Vista and good games and also a good graphics card to be able to play games at higher resolutions, but still the computer and the upgrades is a lot less ...
...good brand and have been getting better over the years and they do built inexpensive, but good quality machines. My Aspire T120e did me very good for a number of years and is still going strong with someone else. The Acer power M5 is a very reliable computer, offers expandability and also has the acer empowering software which allows you to create restore cd's and optimize your pc.
