Good things come in small packages
Review of Acer Aspire SA85-C9970 - P4 524 3 GHz by RichardSlater

Advantages: Compact Form Factor, Fast, Inexpensive
Disadvantages: Monitor Not Included, Wasteful Packing Material

Acer SA85's have become my system of choice when recommending systems to education and small business, this particular model provides a superb mix of speed, reliability and value for money. I first came in contact with Acer S85's through work, since we stopped buying from one provider and need to look for someone new. We started buying SA85's from Insight because they were cheap - they have proven better than expected. Packaging ~~~~~~~~ The SA85 ...
...a stock of them although Acer have offered to make good on it if you provide them with a receipt. The huge catch is there is no display, by default this system is supplied sans display, which provides some confusion to some customers (particularly the ones that don't or can't read my handwriting) Design ~~~~~ The base unit itself is a compact box, the power, suspend and HDD/Optical activity lights are displayed as symbols on the top front of the ... Perfect starter PC
Review of Acer Aspire T130 - Athlon 64 3200+ 2 GHz by Jammie_d

Advantages: Great performance for price, on-paper specification
Disadvantages: As mentioned above - heat, 754 socket, and speakers

...is fantastic for pre-spring2006 games. In conclusion, The Acer Aspire T130 is a brilliant starter PC. For the gamer on a budget, it is cheal and can be upgraded with ease. While becoming more dated by the minute, it is still very upgradeable. A very stable and reliable PC ... Read review

Acer Aspire
Review of Acer Aspire T140 - Athlon 64 3200+ by Hencharge

Advantages: Very nice
Disadvantages: I didn't like the colour

Looooooovely, yes it is, i'd recommend this a lot, it is very nice and it handles well, i would not recommend it to crazy people however as they may find it confusing, with the lights and such, but i must say crazy people may find it handy for looking up activities in the interweb, yep that's right it has the new interweb, why you ask? i have no idea, but i'm sure it'd be nice to use it as a skateboard or something, so why not give it a try! You'll ... Read review

Powerhouse, budget gamer's dream!
Review of Dell XPS 420 by BoyEngland

Advantages: Can play the latest games, fast boot-up, reliable, runs cool, runs quietly
Disadvantages: Price is a little steep, not all games are compatible with Quad Core processors

...built XPS 420 directly from Dell which contains a 2.40GHz Quad Core processor, 4GB RAM, an Nvidia GeForce 9800GT, and all the other good stuff a computer needs. I ordered it late night on a Sunday, and I had it setup and working by the Thursday. Best of all? Shipping was free! Between pressing the power button and the computer being ready to use, you are looking at around 30 seconds. This includes me entering my password to log on. I see this as ...
...hadn't been for the current Dell offer and a discount code I had at the time. I will admit, I wouldn't have paid £920 for the system, no chance! Since starting the computer for the first time, I haven't had a single problem with it that wasn't caused by a faulty disk or my lack of patience. I would recommend it to anyone, even gamers. ...
