GOOD BUDGET PRICE PC!!!
Review of Acer AcerPower M8 - Athlon 64 3500+ by kerrystackhouse

Advantages: Good value for money
Disadvantages: A DVD Writer wouldn't have goe amiss

...very negligible, I feel sure Acer could have included a DVD writer and still kept retained the budget price. Fortunately I already had an external writer, but I can see where this could sway the balance for potential customers. SOUND: On board sound card, nothing special, no 5.1 surround or anything, but then it does the job, namely provides stereo sound. Obviously if you want something special, you can always add it at a later date, or buy a higher ...
...time I will say that I am very pleased with what I have got for the money. The Acer Power M8 is a budget price PC with no frills or flashing lights, but if you want a basic every day reliable PC, then I would definitely recommended this to you! ... Read review

...is fantastic for pre-spring2006 games. In conclusion, The Acer Aspire T130 is a brilliant starter PC. For the gamer on a budget, it is cheal and can be upgraded with ease. While becoming more dated by the minute, it is still very upgradeable. A very stable and reliable PC ... Read review

Reclaim your desk and look cool!
Review of Acer AcerPower 1000 - Athlon 64 3500+ by allangallop

Advantages: Small Form factor, Lots of functionality, Quiet operation, 8 usb ports
Disadvantages: Upgradability, Costly upgrading via mini-pci

The Acer AcerPower 1000 is a tiny, yet fully featured computer, standing only 6cm tall and 25cm wide! The Small print ------------------------------ The most common problem with most ultra-small form factor computers is cooling and chunky external power supplies (Xbox 360 anyone?) But this is not a problem for this little box despite having a Althon 64 3500+ processor under the hood. Functionality? ---------------------- Not a problem here, ...
...4 of which are on the front! Not to mention the rear where you will find the 24pin DVI, VGA, PS/2 (Keyboard), Audio in, out, Mic and headphone interfaces! Also the unit has a Gigabyte (1Gb) 10/100 compatible ethernet connection for highspeed surfing! This unit really does put the Mac Mini to shame. Space and Storage ------------------------------- The unit comes complete with a massive 80Gb highspeed SATA Harddisk drive and a slot feed CD-RW / ... Read review

64 Bit Processor for the 32 Bit Age
Review of Compaq Presario SR1420UK - Athlon 64 3000+ by self_aggressive

Advantages: Good all round PC
Disadvantages: Lack of 64 Bit programs

As with many things that are before their time. The 64 Bit processor in this computer is, well useless.. The computer doesn't have windows XP 64 bit, so you can't use it. it's more of a gimmick. But lets look beyond that... The computer is very fast. and it looks rather good too, with a green LED! Might not impress you but I find it rather cool. Other things are, you can use the mic, line out and headphone sockets on the front to connect surround ...
...the front and back (3 front, 4 back) It has a 7 in onr card reader on the front. and Firewire. Built in Ethernet card aswell.. I don't like how the disc tray opens tho on the DVD Rewriter... I don't like the fact you have to push it back in instead of press a button, I'm not lazy, I just think it damages the draw doing that.. I've had this computer about 6 months now, and it's only frozen completely once, and I use it ALOT. It also hasn't slowed ... Read review
