I needed a desktop computer so I scouted about and came up with the Dx5150, I measured my desk to make sure it would fit then I ordered one online. It's a very smart and like with many computers it's very quiet, it comes ith 512MB of memory which was a nice feature, normally pc's only come with 256MB. Also because this is a business PC it comes with Windows XP PRO. The hard drive is a SATA drive which is now becoming the new standard in computers ...
...Installing the PC was dead easy, conencting to a router was easy, it found it straight away. The back of the PC has a nice bank of 6 USB ports so you can plug all your devices in. The front has a headphone socket, Mic socket and 2 USB ports and above the ports is a flap you can remove to install a floppy drive or a media card reader if you wish. Purchasing this was a bit of an impulse buy for me, i had just been paid and i wanted a new PC, when i saw this i thought what a great spec it was for the money. £288 is all i paid for it. That is including staff discount so to the average buyer it would be £320. Still a great price to pay for a PC like this. ...impressed that it is a 64bit athlon and that is is capable of running vista. The onboard graphics are a bit of a let down but after a payment of £65 i received a beautiful mid range graphics card to improve performance, i love games!!! Also now it is capable of running vista ultimate which i will be buying 1. when i have the money and 2. when i have bought some more memory for it. i could now really do with removing some of the crap i've put on it ...
