...you definately don't get the best out of the powerful AMD Athlon XP processor. Fortunately, Simply allow you to customise these machines and will happily fit almost any extra gizmos you want, or remove anything you don't think you need. I customised my machine to 1GB of RAM and added a DVD-writer to the standard equipment, and the price for these improvements was very reasonable. I got my Systemax 500mhz 64SDRAM machine in June 2000. By early August I started having some problems that neither Simply Tech support nor their engineers could explain. I had to return my PC. After 10 days I got it back with a note saying that there was nothing wrong with it and that it had undergone vigorous checks. Dell XPS 700 I have had the Dell XPS 700 for about 2 years and its still in good working condition! Although i bought the newer verson 2 days ago Dell XPS 730! ...nothing special here, quite typical Dell styling - neat and clean, but not particularly eye catching! Finally, high intensity programs such as professional design apps and games, this PC will simply not cope!
