Apple iMac Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz - 20" TFT
Review of Apple iMac Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz - 20" TFT by
owais997
Advantages: speed, sound, generous size monitor, Leopard OS
Disadvantages: Power/Sleep light missing
Duration of ownership:2 Weeks
Strengths: Sleek and beautiful design, simple and elegant operating system, wireless keyboard and mouse
Weaknesses: Power/Sleep light missing
Overall Evaluation:I have used Macs (5th one) since mid-90s and have always appreciated their design and OS strengths. Overall, this is an great computer. Everything worked perfectly right out of the box without checking the manual. Considering what is included on this iMac, ... ...peripheral you need to add is a printer! You sure get a lot of features for the money.Price is always a concern, especially compared to PCs. With this model, they have added more "bells and whistles" and not raising the price.Apple has finally gotten its act together by redesigning the popular iMac. ...

The most important invention since the light bulb
Review of Apple Mac mini Core 2 Duo 2 GHz by
SimoD
Advantages: Sleek looks, miniture size
Disadvantages: You may need to upgrade for more speed
...word 'crash' doesn't come under apple vocabulary.
-Macs look sexy. End of.
-Your mates may get jealous.
-There is a huge world of free software ONLY on Mac (freeware). Just take a look at apple downloads section to see what I mean.
-You're part of a computer revolution.
I run Tiger 10.4 on my mac, which is a superb OS although if you buy one now, you'll be running Leapord...the most advanced OS in the world!
Spending the dough
If you've ... ...8 processers in total.
Apple do a lovely range of laptops for those who travel.
The perfect companion for iPod users
All software on Mac's are designed with the iPod in mind. Most have a 'send to iPod option' when you've made movies or other madia.
Overall, this is a 5-star product...you really MUST buy a Mac mini and you'll be delighted! ...

Very possitive Imac review
Review of Apple iMac Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz - 24" TFT by
teddy100
Advantages: There arnt harderly any wires
Disadvantages: There could be an update to 3.06GHZ
Where can i start with this product, its faultless in my eyes. Everything from the price to the design is amazing.
You get 2.4GHz which is pleanty for anyone using this at home, but could possible by auchward if you have lots of application open.
Also there is no mess at all unlike other desktop pcs as the imac only has one wire excluding the mouse and keyboard all of which you have the option of purchasing wirelesss ones. It saves all the frustration ...

Great introduction to Mac OS / Home Theater PC
Review of Apple Mac mini Core 2 Duo 1.83 GHz by
alphamusic
Advantages: Price, performance, design, OSX 10.5, Windows with Bootcamp, HTPC, remote controll
Disadvantages: Limited upgradability
I recently upgrade from a 1.5Ghz G4 stealth upgrade Mac Mini to the Core 2 Duo 1.83 Ghz mini and I am very impressed with the performance improvements. With Xbench the Core 2 Duo was approximately twice as fast as the G4 on many tests. The Mac Mini has a very small form factor 6.5"x6.5"x2" which makes it well suited as a Home Theater PC (HTPC) or for desktop use where space is at a premium. I primarily use the mini as an everyday computer with some ... ...desk and under a TV. The Mac Mini is an excellent entry level computer or an introduction to Macs. This is not to say the computer is limited in capabilities. The only real limitation over the mini's bigger brothers, the iMac and Mac Pro is the fact that it's expandability is more restricted. The stock laptop hard drive is slower than desktop sized hard drives, and the graphics card is integrated meaning gaming performance suffers. Realizing these ...

A beautiful thing
Review of Apple iMac Core 2 Duo 2.16 GHz - 20" TFT by
BigLes1970
Advantages: Lots and lots - too many to mention.
Disadvantages: A new one came out
I love my iMac. I have been a PC person all of my life, but now i am converted. The only downside is that within three months of getting it a new (very, very, very beautfil) model was launched - oh well that's the risk when you buy any technology now a days.
I love the big bright screen, the amazing graphics and the superb operating system that just rocks.
My wife uses the iMac for her photography work and the processor eats up anything she demands ... ...made a big difference when you have lots of applications running. I work on PCs at work and the Microsoft stuff is completely compatible with the PC stuff which means there are no issues in operating two systems. Also, if you get Leopard you can run Boot vamp and the iMac can be a mac and a pc. ...
