Apple iMac Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz - 20" TFT
Review of Apple iMac Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz - 20" TFT by owais997

Advantages: speed, sound, generous size monitor, Leopard OS
Disadvantages: Power/Sleep light missing

Duration of ownership:2 Weeks Strengths: Sleek and beautiful design, simple and elegant operating system, wireless keyboard and mouse Weaknesses: Power/Sleep light missing Overall Evaluation:I have used Macs (5th one) since mid-90s and have always appreciated their design and OS strengths. Overall, this is an great computer. Everything worked perfectly right out of the box without checking the manual. Considering what is included on this iMac, ...
...peripheral you need to add is a printer! You sure get a lot of features for the money.Price is always a concern, especially compared to PCs. With this model, they have added more "bells and whistles" and not raising the price.Apple has finally gotten its act together by redesigning the popular iMac. ... Read review

iMac - Amazing
Review of Apple iMac Core 2 Duo 2.66 GHz - 20" TFT by benpowell2008

Advantages: Speed, looks, ease of use.
Disadvantages: None

I bought my iMac as I my "PC" was due for replacement and had become unreliable. A few of my friends have iMacs and I was instantly grabbed by the design and ease of use when I sat in front of one. Some of this is due to the software that comes pre-loaded onto the iMac. I went for the 2GB version with the 2.66 Processor as the prices had just dropped. The iMac boots up lightening quick compared to my PC. In around 15 seconds I can be using the system ...
...is extremely clear and at 20 inch - large enough for most people to use as their home computer. I thought I would be keeping the PC to one side to use when the iMac didn't have the ability to do a certain job but I have thrown it away now as everything I need to do works. The beauty of the iMac is that it does exactly what you except. No fuss, first time - every time. It comes pre-loaded with the operating system and iLife08 which had iPhoto, iDVD ... Read review

Very possitive Imac review
Review of Apple iMac Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz - 24" TFT by teddy100

Advantages: There arnt harderly any wires
Disadvantages: There could be an update to 3.06GHZ

Where can i start with this product, its faultless in my eyes. Everything from the price to the design is amazing. You get 2.4GHz which is pleanty for anyone using this at home, but could possible by auchward if you have lots of application open. Also there is no mess at all unlike other desktop pcs as the imac only has one wire excluding the mouse and keyboard all of which you have the option of purchasing wirelesss ones. It saves all the frustration ... Read review

My new IMAC
Review of Apple iMac Core 2 Duo 1.83 GHz - 17" TFT by jermiez

Advantages: Compact, Stylish, Value for money
Disadvantages: A little slow when opening up a number of programs at one go

Since my Toshiba M30 harddisk broke down, I decided to go for an iMac as i had been craving for one for ages!!! As a first timer using Macs, I found the controls and mouse foreign BUT it was really easy to pick it up and I found that it was so easy to open a few programs, switch to multiple views and select which one you wanted to see. An easy example would be switching between 3 webpages where you can view all 3 pages and select the one that had ...
...a fair number of programs such as word, safaris and adium, it took awhile for loading. Also, the graphic is not exactly fantastic for those art users or gamings although it is enough to view movies and meddle around. If speed is of great importance though, you can always just upgrade your ram as you buy the computer because there is only 1 ram slot. For the value, I would say this is an all round Mac with the latest technology to suit most people ... Read review

A beautiful thing
Review of Apple iMac Core 2 Duo 2.16 GHz - 20" TFT by BigLes1970

Advantages: Lots and lots - too many to mention.
Disadvantages: A new one came out

I love my iMac. I have been a PC person all of my life, but now i am converted. The only downside is that within three months of getting it a new (very, very, very beautfil) model was launched - oh well that's the risk when you buy any technology now a days. I love the big bright screen, the amazing graphics and the superb operating system that just rocks. My wife uses the iMac for her photography work and the processor eats up anything she demands ...
...made a big difference when you have lots of applications running. I work on PCs at work and the Microsoft stuff is completely compatible with the PC stuff which means there are no issues in operating two systems. Also, if you get Leopard you can run Boot vamp and the iMac can be a mac and a pc. ... Read review
