Poor Poor Asus Eee Box B202 Advantages: Quiet, Small, Stylish, Eco - Friendly, VESA mounting bracket and N WI-FI Disadvantages: Low RAM, Low HDD, No Optical Drive Not very VfM The Asus Eee Box B202 is not a PC in the standard sense of the word! It is, what is known as, a net top PC. It has no DVD Drive, is very low on processing power and has very low Hard Drive space. Ok, for the good. The ASUS Eee Box B202 is almost silent even when running at full throttle. It’s very thin; stream line design makes it very attractive but does hinder it. It also has a bracket allowing it to screw into the VESA mounting holes on the ... ...space saving. It has a built in N WI-FI card meaning no dongle needed so again you gain on space! It has a gigabit Ethernet port. This PC has one of the lowest power consumption seen so far at almost 17W while idle, meaning that this PC is very Eco-Friendly, so not only do you gain on space but on cash too. Strange kettle of fish but an ideal second PC Advantages: Minute, basic PC functionallity Disadvantages: Limited performance especially in BBC iPlayer The Acer Revo R3600 is a slightly odd kettle of fish and in some ways is a solution looking for a problem! The original desktop PC configuration; Base unit, wired keyboard and mouse, and a monitor hasn’t changed much in 25 years – unless you count putting the base unit on it’s side! iMac Advantages: amazingly brilliant and fantastic, OMG ITS A MAC ! Disadvantages: absolutely none ...it has super chic styling apple are super helpful they are incredibly simple to use and even though the price is really quite high (pc's can be much much cheaper) THEY ARE TOTALLY WORTH IT !! Good processor with some techincal glitches Advantages: Design, tower, manufacturer support Disadvantages: Speed, reliability ... I haven't contacted Dell myself, but my Dad did whenever we had any problems and they've always managed to help (especially when our Modem played up). They were friendly and approachable and sorted out our issues quickly. Ease of Use/Reliability Switching the computer on is simple enough with the button on the front, however, finding certain things on the actual computer can be tricky. It took me a while to locate certain files on ... ...requests. Copying and pasting can be dangerous, especially when pasting to another folder. It finds some "error" and you have to start all over again! It can take a while for things to boot, and if you need to cancel the processes on Windows Task Manager, they like to be disguised under completely different names so you can't find them.
