The compaq Evo D500 p4 1.6ghz is a good pc in many ways 1)The graphics card has a 3d hardware accelerator so you can play basic 3d games. ...has a 20gb Hard drive this is good because it means that the pc can stay small as this isn't a very big hard drive and if you are thinking of buying it do not be put off by this as you can get an external hard drive these days for about £60. The Compaq Evo D300v is a future proof PC for any bigginer or an ideal gift for a relative seeking his/her first/second PC. Disadvantages: Too many faults

...faults have been recorded for Compaq machines. Even new machines have a tendency to freeze, reboot themselves etc. Support isn't bad but I do think that new machines shouldn't be giving the user any bother. If you are going to buy a PC be sure to shop around - Make sure you don't buy one with everything 'on board'. This means everthing is attached to the mother board ie. COMPAQ by its name alone. This recent launch of the compaq company is gathered with the most recent features. Its good looking and the main plus of compaq PC's are that its got the facility of attaching the speakers to the monitors side, giving it a very nice look again.
