Advantages: Fast, reliable and effiecent
Disadvantages: none to notice

...Bought over from the dell website but since seen cheaper on ebay, amazon etc ...bought monitor serparately as my'n just came with a key board. Looks good and has performed all functions well, have not used the cd parts much though. Mainly used for broadband/internet and for home working, its on most of the time for both me and my addicted 41/2 year old, who learns skills on cbeebies - so it must be relatively tough! Not sure about manufacturer ... Read review

Advantages: Excellent bulid quality, reliable and come with a 3 year warranty
Disadvantages: Takes 7 working days for the product to be delivered from purchase date

...a blown power supply, which Dell replaced the following day under the warranty and the second being a fault motherboard, again this was fixed the following day. The customer service and technical support Dell provide is second to none. Dell are produmentatly an irish company so there are no problems with language barriers as with some technical support departments. After both faults Dell contacted me to ask if the repair had been to my saisfaction ...
...occasion I wouldnt is is you are wanting a workstation to play games on, there are other machines from Dell's range which are more suited. As a final note my only criticsm is that Dell workstations are preinstalled with a lot of trial software that you may wish to remove. ... Read review

Review of Apple iMac Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz - 20" TFT by owais997

Advantages: speed, sound, generous size monitor, Leopard OS
Disadvantages: Power/Sleep light missing

Duration of ownership:2 Weeks Strengths: Sleek and beautiful design, simple and elegant operating system, wireless keyboard and mouse Weaknesses: Power/Sleep light missing Overall Evaluation:I have used Macs (5th one) since mid-90s and have always appreciated their design and OS strengths. Overall, this is an great computer. Everything worked perfectly right out of the box without checking the manual. Considering what is included on this iMac, ...

iMac Core 2 Due 20" TFT
Review of Apple iMac Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz - 20" TFT by autonick

Advantages: Screen, Webcam, amazing processer speed
Disadvantages: With mine the Wifi can sometimes be an issue

...I bought it from the Apple store in London, where I must say the customer service is amazing and the staff had an answer to all my questions! Before this Imac I had an Ibook G4 which was the best thing since sliced bread, thats what made me want one of these. The IMac is all an all in one computer, all the bits are in the screen with only the keyboard and mouse separate. This makes it great for people with not so much space. This computer is very ...
...round, the whole unit is a sort of brushed aluminum colour and my favorite bit is the small brushed aluminum keyboard, which has nice sized buttons and a nice feel to it (ie not big and chunky keys) The IMac loads up in no time, unlike a Windows machine and within less than say 30 seconds you are ready to go. The screen is Massive, bright and very clear, and the graphics can easily handle online TV and gaming, I use mine to play World of Warcraft ... Read review

ibm does good again
Review of Lenovo ThinkCentre M55 8795 - Pentium D 925 3 GHz by atytyut2434

Advantages: ibms past record
Disadvantages: poor choice of graphics port

I've got one of these, in fact I'm writing this review on it right now. I bought it at my local auctions 2 years ago & I'm still getting great use out of it. It looks sleek with its all black case, keyboard & mouse. It's really easy to do upgrades on as it requires no tools to open the case or remove any parts. I upgraded the dvd-rom in mine to a rewriter & it took minutes to do & was as quick to get running & burning with. It might not have a ...
...games pretty well. I've been able to play both Quake 4 & Half Life 2 at fairly decent speeds. The port to fit a graphics card is a slightly annoying issue as it's intended for a standard PCI card & I was expecting to find an AGP port but I guess thats the price you pay for buying what was only ever intended to be a business machine. On-board sound is very good, the 1gb of RAM that comes as standard is more than enough for what I use it for. It ... Read review
