eTower Celeron 700
Review of Emachines eTower 700 by Bill-S

Advantages: Small mini ATX, upgrades to 933Mhz
Disadvantages: No AGP slot/ two USB 1.0 only/ memory limit

...hasten to add the largely faulted power supply with emachines directly, they use OEM brands for these. Because you buy it pre-assembled, you are entitled to refunds and servicing of course. Speed issues result from space within the drive, and memory limit issues. 256MB is good for Win9x computers. ... Read review

Great Buy, Service And Performance!
Review of Emachines eTower 533id by Talley

Advantages:
Disadvantages:

This last January I bought an Emachine, Etower 533id, and have been so impressed with this computer. When I decided that our old computer had just about seen it's last days, I was so afaid to venture out and spend the amount of money that computers cost today. Mainly because I didn't have a wad of money to through away if I got ripped off, or just plain had a pile of computer, that I didn't know a thing about. About two months before I actually ...
...consumer and start gathering information and prices on all the different computers available today. Well it didn't do me much good, because everytime I picked up a new ad, there was something new or different, that I knew absolutely nothing about. So I finally decided, at my children's begging, to go out and talk with dealers and representatives, to try to gain a better understanding of all involved in the computers. It was at a Best Buy store where ... Read review

Review of Emachines eTower 600 by CLH

Advantages: PRICE,WINDOWS ME, EASY TO SET UP,USB AND GAME PORT CAN BE PLUGGED IN FROM THE FRONT.
Disadvantages: NO RESET BUTTON.

...an ETOWER 600 DVD from EMACHINES from PC World (without the monitor) with an Intel Celeron processor, 64mb ram, 15gb hard drive, 12x dvd, 3d graphics and 56k modem. The salesman said that I would notice a hell of a difference with my new computer compared with my old 486 and indeed he was right! I have read indifferent reports about this computer in the magazines but I am pleased as Punch with mine. The computer looks good, has good clear instructions, ...
...first plugged in except that one of its tiny speakers was not working. Luckily I had some other larger speakers to plug in so that problem was soon "sorted." I have not found it necessary to phone manufacturers support. One of the many nice things about my machine is that it came with Windows Millennium Edition which impressed me. For instance it was great to be able to watch American news TV stations, BBC News 24 TV, Bloomberg TV, and listen to ... Read review

the whole package
Review of Emachines eTower 766 id by honey03

Advantages: how cheap it was
Disadvantages: s.l.o.w!!

Ok, I exaggerated when I put the title as the whole package. To start off with, I brought this computer because it was on offer. I thought wow how can a computer be so cheap. I was drawn in. I wish I hadn't been now. The only thing I love about it is the stylish little screen that I got with it. So where do I start on my moaning? Well as soon you I turned my computer on I thought great it's all set up and ready. I put on the relevant programs that ...
...computer off. It was a great feeling. I spent so little on what I thought was a great computer and I had set everything up. Next time I came to use the computer; it just didn't want to know. It was so slow I made myself a sandwich and it still hadn't fully loaded. It finally worked. I was relieved. But oh no the computer sensed my relief and decided that all the programs I was using should freeze. I closed it down, and half an hour later it finally ... Read review

Duration of ownership:2 Weeks Strengths: Sleek and beautiful design, simple and elegant operating system, wireless keyboard and mouse Weaknesses: Power/Sleep light missing Overall Evaluation:I have used Macs (5th one) since mid-90s and have always appreciated their design and OS strengths.
