...purchsing this machine I contacted Fujitsu -Seimens and they happily and Rapidly repaired this for me. This runs simple tasks to complex games well. OS supplied (Windows XP) is a user friendly and highly customizeable OS with most compaability issues that arrose from is not being an MS-DOS based operating system is solved by running it in compatibility mode (basically programs not compatible with windows XP can still often be run in the compatibility ... Great little PC
Review of Shuttle XPC G2 6100H - P4 3 GHz by whopper73

Advantages: Small, great heatsink!, Firewire built it!
Disadvantages: The size limits the lack of drive space

I have very little space for a PC in my study area (i.e. hole under the stairs!) and I hate clutter anyway so I wanted a PC I could stick in a cupbaord but still leave space for all my other compurter perifferals. This fitted the bill. It is the easy self build PC really as the it comes as a case with the mother board fitted (the hard part of a self build really I guess). I needed a CD/ DVD drive, a hard drive, processor and some RAM. This takes ...
...are different versions for other processors). I put a 3G P4 in mine and was glad to see it does support the hyper threading technology, which allows for faster multitasking. Wether it does 2 tasks at once or does some fancy concurrent tasking management I'm not sure, but it processes things very fast from my point of view! When putting it together I was amazed by the heatsink cooling system, it is genius and necessary for something this small. It ... Read review

The new computer
Review of Sony VAIO PCV-RS322 - P4 2.6 GHz by sheelbe999

Advantages: Looks extremely sexy, quick and reliable with the right protection
Disadvantages: Comes with very little "worth having" software

My father bought this computer as a family computer. Since buying it we have run into a few problems with it. The screen developed a frozen pixle. (a pixle that only appears in one colour). Also the computer came with no anti adware/anti spyware software what so ever. After only a few months of having it, the machine had to be formatted(everything cleared off the hardrive) this caused me and my brother to loose work and we had to reload all of our ...
...can see a small flap at the bottom of the tower, when this is folded down there are lots and lots of different card slots, very useful when your family has 3 or four digital cameras. This is a great computer although with your money you are paying a lot for the fact its Sony. Don't make the same mistake as me, make sure that before you do anything on it, get as much anti spyware and anti adware on there as you can. I would recommend ad-aware and ... Read review

Sony Pony
Review of Sony VAIO PCV-RZ422P - P4 3 GHz by spidermunky

Advantages: Fast, Powerful, Expandable, Well Built
Disadvantages: Costly,

...Sony. As with most Sony products, what you are paying for is the brand. On this occasion I would suggest that it is almost worth it because of the build quality. Sony's support system is also very good and I definately would consider buying from them again (funds permitting). The system has served me well over the last few months and I do think others would feel the same. ... Read review

A reliable piece of kit
Review of Sony VAIO PCV-RX203 - P4 2 GHz by Mooers

Advantages: Looks fantastic and is very quiet
Disadvantages: speakers supplied aren't great

We purchased our Sony Vaio PCV- RX203 about 2 and a half years ago, but purchased a top of the range one. As a result it had much the same spec as the ones on sale now, eg, DVD-RW, 512MB RAM, 120GB hard disk, pentium 4 2GHz, and we paid about £1200 for it. The reason I am choosing to review it now is because I felt it would be useful to those of you out there looking to buy a PC, to know how reliable this PC has been. I am an IT consultant by trade, ...
...disks and other components fail on PC's supplied by other large brand names! The only thing to break on our PC, in 2 and a half years, is the speakers that were supplied with it, and as our PC gets used for at least 6 hours a day, gets software and hardware beta tested on it, and has been moved house in a van with no suspension, that's not bad going! The machine itself is very nice to look at, and runs very quietly compared to similar machines by ... Read review
