Well specified Windows XP machine for office use.
Review of Fujitsu Siemens ESPRIMO E5916 - Core 2 Duo E6300 by
MoltenJules
Advantages: Good configuration options, Windows XP, quiet and fast
Disadvantages: Looks are not going to win places on many desks
Earlier this year I bought five of these for a customer. It must be said that the money was not spent on visual styling. They are not the best looking machine but they are a good package in terms of performance and value if you shop around. They are very quiet and easy to configure. I had reservations about using Vista until SP1 had come out and since most of the customer's office used Windows XP I had to look around for a PC which came with Windows ... ...then have to buy an XP licence?
It was best to get around the rather basic and uninspiring design by standing the base unit under the desk on its edge rather like a slim tower. The PC was well specified with 1 GB of RAM and this worked very well with the chosen operating system, Windows XP. It also came with a DVD burner which offered good performance. In all a good performer for the office, quiet and reliable and easy to work on. I would recommend ...

Acer-Aspire T160
Review of Acer Aspire T160-NMB70 - Athlon 64 3400+ by
Danz0r
Advantages: Small, Lightweight, Stylish
Disadvantages: Onboard Graphics Card, Noisy
Acer have been the manufacturers to millions of computers in households all around the world, and great expectations are on them every time they release a new desktop, so does this one carry the standard forward.
Well- Yes and No.
The good things about this computer is the general speedy feeling throughout, with the AMD 3400+ easily meeting the demand for speed for todays general applications. The AMD Processor gives power where you need it, and ... ...Upgrade with another 512 Stick of RAM, Would improve performance and stability somewhat.
The down side to this PC, is that it is abit noisy, and I wouldn't recommend it if your looking for a Silent PC to be left on whilst sleeping, etc. Another dissapointment is the lack of a physical graphics card. The T160 comes equipped with an onboard Nvidia 6100 which can only withstand some of todays games. Games like Doom3 would not be able to play smoothly ...

The Bees -Knees
Review of Sony VAIO M1 - Mobile Pentium 4 3.06 GHz - 15.4" by
sghawken
Advantages: More than just a PC
Disadvantages: The screen could be a little bigger
...different. To describe the Sony M-1 is kind of difficult it has an LCD screen that is fixed to the base unit; also attached to that base unit is a flop down keyboard, two very good speakers and a sub woofer. Fold the keyboard flat against the screen and you have a unit roughly 1 and ½ foot long by 7 inches deep.
When I first switched the PC on it went through the usual set up format that you go through with any windows operated PC. Once installed, ... ...screen, its fitted with the Sony X BLACK style screen, this makes dark colours look amazing, in fact everything looks great on it. The room that I have my PC in is frequently filled with sunlight and the screen seldom gets to the stage that I cannot see it.
The mouse is an optical one, so I can run it across almost anything. It responds a lot better than a standard mouse, a subject of consistent annoyance to me. Yes two years on and the mouse is ...

Review of Fujitsu Siemens SCALEO P - P4 540 3.2 GHz by
DC-DanielColeflax
Advantages: graphics, works most of the time
Disadvantages: painfully slow, prone to random freezing
I first got the Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo P computer around one and a half years ago. At the time the computer was vary good and suitable for our needs, however since then technology has moved on somewhat.
EASE OF SETUP
I was not the person to set up this computer however the family member who had set it up commented that it was the hardest computer to set up that he had ever encountered. I have recently tried to restore the computer to it's factory ... ...CONCLUSION
I feel that the Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo P is a below average PC with it's ups and downs, and is really suitable for only small computing tasks. I would not reccomend it generally, but it is better than nothing and it works (normally). I hope you have found this review helpful and should you require any more information please leave me a comment. ...

Good things come in small packages
Review of Acer Aspire SA85-C9970 - P4 524 3 GHz by
RichardSlater
Advantages: Compact Form Factor, Fast, Inexpensive
Disadvantages: Monitor Not Included, Wasteful Packing Material
Acer SA85's have become my system of choice when recommending systems to education and small business, this particular model provides a superb mix of speed, reliability and value for money. I first came in contact with Acer S85's through work, since we stopped buying from one provider and need to look for someone new. We started buying SA85's from Insight because they were cheap - they have proven better than expected.
Packaging
~~~~~~~~
The SA85 ... ...a stock of them although Acer have offered to make good on it if you provide them with a receipt. The huge catch is there is no display, by default this system is supplied sans display, which provides some confusion to some customers (particularly the ones that don't or can't read my handwriting)
Design
~~~~~
The base unit itself is a compact box, the power, suspend and HDD/Optical activity lights are displayed as symbols on the top front of the ...
