Its 2.2Ghx dual core cpu (4.4Ghx total speed) with a 2mb Cache combined with the 1GB of RAM provides a very fast, reliable machine able to cope with many demanding programs running at one time. I was outraged with MY new iMac. For a start, where's the typical ugly black and white random writing a computer is supposed to show you when you turn it on? This iMac seems to switch on without that, instead displaying a cute blue screen. What about all that buzzing text telling me in great detail something I will never understand? And why is all the software I would ever need already on there? I expected to have to BUY programs that let me burn ...
