Compaq sr1819uk
Review of Compaq Presario SR1819UK - Sempron 3000+ 1.8 GHz by
com235
Advantages: Light Weight, Fast Processor, Quite
Disadvantages: Bigger than average
...Card Bay loose cable and compaq were so helpful and were able to sort the problem out in no time at all. I upgraded the RAM in the computer through compaq that cost be 25 pounds. I upgraded it from the 512 to 1gb I am pleased that I did this and I think with the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system it makes this computer perfect.
When I first brought this computer I paid £200.00 from currys. And from doing research I have found that this is ...

Well basically this means that ... ...high processor speed and also a high ability for the use of RAM. I got one and it allowed me to do pretty much anything that I wanted and also allowed me to up[grade it massively because I am one of these computer geek. Anyway back to the subject the Pentium four processor means that you can do multiple things at once whilst using the system as it is quite a high speed. I have seen faster going up to 4GHz but that was a very good computer. RAM stands ...

A great PC for a low cost.
Review of Compaq Presario SR1705UK - Celeron D 346 3.06 GHz by
Reinheart
Advantages: Cheap high spec computer, easily upgradable
Disadvantages: Onboard shared graphics, misleading advertising
When I brought this PC I was updating from a very old pentium 2. I only had a £300 budget and was expecting to get a computer in the mid range spectrum, around 2.4gig 256mb of Ram. Basically a word processor. So I was very surprised when I was able to get a 3.06ghz machine with 512mb RAM with 80GB of memory. Not only that but it came with all inbuilt software. I have microsoft works, Real Player, Windows XP and lots of other software bundles with ... ...of hundred pounds.
The computer was quick enough when I first brought it but I have to admit that since uploading games etc it slowed down considerably, I have since upgraded to 1GB Ram which now has my computer running super speed.
I have loaded Rome and Medieval total war, Dawn of War, The Movies as well as 230 hours of Music and the machine is still running very quickly.
All the instructions (other then assembly) are found already stored on ...

Great for general use
Review of Compaq Presario SR1909UK - Athlon 64 3500+ 2.2 GHz by
harry_harrod
Advantages: CHEAP, 64 BIT, VISTA CAPABLE
Disadvantages: GRAPHICS
Purchasing this was a bit of an impulse buy for me, i had just been paid and i wanted a new PC, when i saw this i thought what a great spec it was for the money. £288 is all i paid for it. That is including staff discount so to the average buyer it would be £320. Still a great price to pay for a PC like this. I was not bothered that it didnt come with a monitor because i had one spare, but for those who dont, make sure u buy a monitor as well, or ... ...impressed that it is a 64bit athlon and that is is capable of running vista. The onboard graphics are a bit of a let down but after a payment of £65 i received a beautiful mid range graphics card to improve performance, i love games!!! Also now it is capable of running vista ultimate which i will be buying 1. when i have the money and 2. when i have bought some more memory for it. i could now really do with removing some of the crap i've put on it ...

apple mac
Review of Apple iMac Core 2 Duo 2.8 GHz - 24" TFT by
coneill3
Advantages: speed ,power,Design
Disadvantages: value for money
...were released. As soon as Apple released the updated Mac Pro in January, I picked one up. After using the iMac for so long, the Mac Pro was like a breath of fresh air. This machine is crazy fast. I loaded 10 GB of RAM into it and can pretty much have all my design apps open (mainly CS3) as well as run Parallels at the same time. I could never do this with the iMac. Overall, I'd recommend the Mac Pro to design professionals looking to run lots of ... ...You'll have to deal with the strange rebooting problem I mentioned above but I don't think it's a deal breaker. I've gotten around this by either shutting my machine down when I'm gone for long periods of time or setting the sleep cycle to never. It's not a great solution (I can't save electricity this way) but I think it's worth it for the power of this machine. ...
