Well basically this means that ... ...high processor speed and also a high ability for the use of RAM. I got one and it allowed me to do pretty much anything that I wanted and also allowed me to up[grade it massively because I am one of these computer geek. Anyway back to the subject the Pentium four processor means that you can do multiple things at once whilst using the system as it is quite a high speed. I have seen faster going up to 4GHz but that was a very good computer. RAM stands ...

More Than Just Intel Inside !
Review of HP Pavilion 404.uk - C 2 GHz by
hackersupr
Advantages: Good Value For Money
Disadvantages: Not Cutting Edge
...was amazed to see a hp PC being flogged for only £400 including monitor.
This was just what I wanted, my old PC was packing up out of age so I decided to buy it.
When I got home with a sore back from lifting the heavy boxes from my car I started to put it all together. It was an easy PC to get going all you had to do was to plug the right thing into the right socket, which is very easy because all the sockets are colour coded with the same colour ... ...256 DDR ram, I think hp could have put another 256 mb of ram into the machine because it runs XP which uses quite a bit of ram so when you use demanding applications you it can lag a little.
Storage: 40gb Small nowadays but enough for me ( i had 8gb before ) but you don't really get 40gb you get 40gb minus files on PC minus again the built in system recovery leving you with 27 GB.
Helpful Features: I was impressed this PC has 6 USB 2.0 and 2 Firewire ...

Hp Pavilion A808uk Review
Review of HP Pavilion a808.uk - Celeron D 325 2.53 GHz by

Advantages: Tv card, 6 Usbs, Dv input and S - Video Input
Disadvantages: Can be sluggish but most of the time is ok
I brought this brand new from Comet a year ago and have found it to be a bargin really. I know you can buy a computer from Pc world, Dixons and it would be fine but i got a sense that it is a quality product.
I find the 6 Usb ports and the 56k modem inside to be useful for using my printer, scanner etc with no trouble.
The tv card is useful for recording precious moments off tape, DV input and S video.
It also has a 80gb hard drive and my one ... ...burn black and white images to the surface of a lightscribe dvd without labels!
As you may or may not know lightscribe is a great piece of kit with stunning results.
You get a good software package with the pc as well as remote control for your tv card.
I would recommend this product if you cannot afford a media center pc. ...

Good computer but needs more RAM
Review of HP Pavilion a310.uk - C 2.6 GHz by
stapleton1
Advantages: Fairly fast processor, DVD-ROM drive, Good appearance
Disadvantages: Windows XP Home and 256 MB RAM are bound to cause problems and they do!
This computer would be great as a computer for the kids or as a cheap family computer because it is affordable but still with plenty of features such as two drives - CD-RW and DVD-ROM which means you can easily copy a CD without having to put the media onto your computer. The Celeron processor is OK but Windows XP Home is installed and only 256MB RAM is installed so the computer crashes a lot - even on startup. The easiest and best solution is to ... ...computer works very well. If you upgrade the RAM TO 1Gb, it would really move along. We upgraded to 512MB RAM and the computer now works very well doing average tasks such as internet browsing, emails and average games. The 80GB hard drive is excellent - it has two partitions: the normal C drive and another drive called the D drive which is about 5Gb big and makes backups and restore points. It also has an Intel integrated graphics chip with 64MB ...
