Lenovo ThinkCentre
Review of Lenovo ThinkCentre A51 8109 - P4 524 3.06 GHz by ashiron2

Advantages: good processor speed
Disadvantages: bad memory and a little pricey

This product is a good mid range pc it runs most applications as smoothly as is needed it will run most games except for the really high end games (such as crysis and such like), you can always buy a new graphics card. The only major problem is that the pricing is slightly too high but in general it is an excellent piece of equipment. My experience with it has been faultless and as such i have derived that it is a very reliable personal computer, ... Read review

Advantages: very user fiendly and easy to put together

The Thinkcentre is an excellent choice of pc if you are in the market to buy one at the moment. It was very easy to put together and assemble it comes with a great instruction book for those not very familiar or fond of gadgets in need of assembly. Very fast with lots of memory and compatible with nearly all types of software. It comes complete with Windows XP which is really user friendly and in my opinion the best package around at the moment and ...
...colours and in tune streaming while on the web which is great. The screen clarity is superb,it is very clear and the colours work perfectly. The sounds are crystal clear and if you watch movies on your pc it is like having your own cinema with superb surround sound at home which makes it sound as if you are really there yourself, I like to turn out the lights, throw in a dvd and sit down and enjoy the whole experience. If you are into new technology ... Read review

Review of Lenovo ThinkCentre A51 8107 - P4 531 3 GHz by klingstin

Advantages: Manufacturers Guarantee
Disadvantages: Limited hardware choice

I have to say that Self Build is a lot better here as you can choose what you want within your budget. I built the following for £600 P4 3.2 GHz Extreme Hyper Threading CAD,2D and 3D gaphic compliant. 2Gb DDR PC3200 Memory expandable to 4Gb, on Dual Channel motherboard (equal to 6.5Gb access speed). 160 Gb SATA 150 Harddisk Drive 128 Mb DVI Graphic Card DvD Rom 52x52x52 !/2Mb read rate Floppy Disk Drive Case 400 Watt PSU,4x5.6 External access ...
...1x speaker, 1x Mic Removeable side panels one with window. The nearest I can find on dell would cost between £800 to £1200 without monitor, keyboard and mouse. So if anyone out their can tell me of any other Company that can or could match what I've built I'd be interested to know. So don't be shy write a review. It dosn't take long at all, even with two finger typing like me. ... Read review

iMac beats PC for photo and video.
Review of Apple iMac Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz - 24" TFT by Segedunum

Advantages: Brilliant screen, fast, runs Windows too
Disadvantages: Virtually none, but not good for DIY upgrades.

Introduction I was walking through some wood on the Scottish Borders one day when we came across a cottage where we saw a Cavalier King Charles sitting on a chair in the sun, and a gentleman working on a computer. We got chatting about the dog (as we also have a Cavalier) and the conversation inevitable turn the his computer which happened to be an iMac 2.4GHz, 24" Core 2 Duo model being used for photography and graphics. The gentleman showed me ...
...me that I should give up my Windows PC and to switch to MAC for my main uses of photo and video. If I was really stuck, I was told that Mac could run any Windows programmes I needed on it. My main intention was to leave the Windows PC for day to day use, and use the MAC PC for hobbies only - more of that later. However, a few weeks later, after looking at reviews and seeing the machine again, I took the plunge and bought the iMac - a decision I ... Read review

ML350 *brilliant*
Review of HP ProLiant ML350 G5 Base - Dual-Core Xeon 5130 2 GHz by boaler88

Advantages: Lots of storage great upgrade capacity.
Disadvantages: requires a professional to install correctly

HP ML350 are very very excellent servers. these machines are very reliable and very fast, and widely used in many businesses across the UK they tend to run best with Windows SBS loaded as the operating system. with 5 hard drive bays you can have more than enough storage space for your company use. so you could have a maximum storage capacity of 5TB if you required it. Dual intel Xeon capability. Maximum RAM of 32GB if the G5 version of the ML350 ...
