Le Diva Computer
Review of Packard Bell Le Div PIII 650 MHz - 15" TFT by ste231191

Advantages: Looks
Disadvantages: Wiping The Buger!!!!

...processor 3. The manufacterer is packard bell. With the computer comes a little like remote control with a touch pad. The Negatives. The is one major problem there is no floppy drive so you cannot wipe the computer and I bet (if you are a computer genius) your shouting get an external floppy drive..I've tried it and the BIOS does not recognise it. Apart from that there is no other major problem with the computer. You can easily upgrade to Windows ...
...you need to ring up Packard Bell and ask for the "master cd's" they will send you some cd's but the call charge is 75p* a min. That is on a BT standard line. The computer has a sound card built in and some speakers right across the front of the monitor. It is not very easy to open up and it is very very hard to get an exact motherboard. If you brake the keyboard or mouse belive me it is hard trying to ring up and get a new one so my advise is don't ... Read review

i have used my packard bell iconnect pc since 1999 i now also have a iconnect 2800i which i have networked together with the other one. both my pcs have never given me any trouble the reboot system is fast and reliable and parts are easy to replace i have owned other pcs and they have lasted no more than two or three years. My iconnect machine has outlived both of these. As i am someone who is qualified in computer engineering i would judge myself ...
...find the added software on packard bell iconnect machines is far outstanding to that of others..The software extras provided include, My packard bell , this is a complete asset to anyone who is not very computer literate and even gives access to a virtual world.. I would tell anyone not to worry when purchasing this pc if you have children because access levels can be set easily. Iconnect machines also live up to there name by providing easy internet ... Another mass produced nothing
Review of Packard Bell iMedia 6100a - Athlon 1 GHz by iancozens12

Advantages: Great Case
Disadvantages: Manufacturer faults

...etc. The keyboard is a Packard Bell Activboard which has buttons for quick access to things like the Packard bell website. I did have problems with the drivers for the keyboard and I never used any of the buttons as they are at the back and on the keyboard tray that means they are unreachable. The mouse is a Packard bell 3 button mouse, but it is not optical, this is not the best mouse although it does work as well as any other ball mouse. Bundled ...
...Simulator 98, and drivers and PB utilities. I upgraded to XP Home as soon as possible as ME was way too unstable. I bought it with an extended warranty which was worth it as it needed a motherboard and modem replacement. All in all I was not too satisfied with the pc itself as I feel that if more thought had been put in a better product would have resulted. ... Read review

The Optiplex, small but still reliable.
Review of Dell OptiPlex GX270 SFF Chassis by ishralene09

Advantages: Small, SATA compatibility, Affordable
Disadvantages: Not much option for upgrades and expansions

...custom computer. Good thing the Dell has a SATA port. And then it's portable. When we're about to present our thesis, we had no problems with carrying it, it's like carrying a bulkier laptop. And it really delivers. For your basic needs, you can rely on the Dell Optiplex GX270 SFF. It will deliver. ... Read review

apple mac
Review of Apple iMac Core 2 Duo 2.8 GHz - 24" TFT by coneill3

Advantages: speed ,power,Design
Disadvantages: value for money

...were released. As soon as Apple released the updated Mac Pro in January, I picked one up. After using the iMac for so long, the Mac Pro was like a breath of fresh air. This machine is crazy fast. I loaded 10 GB of RAM into it and can pretty much have all my design apps open (mainly CS3) as well as run Parallels at the same time. I could never do this with the iMac. Overall, I'd recommend the Mac Pro to design professionals looking to run lots of ...
...You'll have to deal with the strange rebooting problem I mentioned above but I don't think it's a deal breaker. I've gotten around this by either shutting my machine down when I'm gone for long periods of time or setting the sleep cycle to never. It's not a great solution (I can't save electricity this way) but I think it's worth it for the power of this machine. ... Read review
