Apple iMac G3.. its clear
Review of Apple iMac Indigo - PPC G3 500 MHz - 15" CRT by jossie

Advantages: Compact, user friendly and designer!
Disadvantages: Pricey and 'un-customisable'

...exclusivity... the fact that only Apple make them (as I'm aware). P.S. I've never had to deal with customer support directly from Apple so dont know hoe good it is.. they're website is very good though with loads of info on their products, for current users and for customer support (upgrades, patches, faq's etc) ... Advantages: Ease of use and ease of initial setup

Simple
Review of Apple eMac PPC G4 17" CRT by mf2spurs

Advantages: Good for Designers
Disadvantages: Not Many

Ok ignore that the thing looks sexy. This is a super machine, everything that it comes with is easy to use and based around people who use technology for the 21st century. All you have to do is pretty much turn it on and thats you set. No pc installing rubbish. I have been using it for 4 years now to get me through my Graphics degree. It has helped me alot as all the photoshop software you put on it expects to be used with a mac. I say this as ...
...you thats meant to run on a CD-ROM for a pc so you can be let down by that. But this is also good for those who like making music which you can through the 'Garageband' package it comes with to get you started. It has it's own video editing suite which is helpful when putting on images from cameras to video cameras. You can make slide shows etc for presentations. You can get extra software for the mac that can get you want to use the mac for specific ... Read review

iMac Dv - a personal experience
Review of Apple iMac DV Indigo - PPC G3 400 MHz - 15" CRT by guiam888

Advantages: some say it's so easy to use
Disadvantages: supposedly out of the box and connected...

I've been a PC user all my life, but back in 1999 a friend bought an iMac DV and asked me to go over to his place to configure internet access for him. So I did and here is my experience, even if limited to 2 sessions working on Mac OS8.6 Well, I did my bit. It took us a while to understand that to create an internet access you must set up a script for remote access, or he won't be able to connect if the server on the other end is WinNT. We experience ...

I don't like the greyish, ghostly Mac interface particularly, and I feel it lacks depth. That is, while in Windows I am used to be able to customize the system through a huge amount of options, there are no such option in a Mac. That is what I mean by lack of depth, and that really disappointed me. However, ... Read review
