It's still my current computer
Review of Dell Dimension 2350 by
dai_dai_low
Advantages: Very Good Specs
Disadvantages: Slow Inrternal Navigation
The specs on this computer are really worth the money now for it. The computer has now been brought down to about £250 in the shops so it's quite good as a first off computer for people who want to learn how to use and computer and browse the internet and so forth.
The 60GB HDD drive is awesome to hold your own data on however I now have two hard drives in this computer (so that means you can add on hard drives!) and therefore you can increase the ... ...2.2 Ghz is good for simple tasks such as browsing and downloading data onto your computer. You can instal a better intel celeron processor if you want to do more complicated tasks such as downloading at a far more faster speed off different sites.
The RAM is adequate for the use of this computer too. again it's only for simpler tasks more RAM is good for when burning CD's onto disk a lot. A big disadvantage to this computer is the fact that you ...

iXtreme Value
Review of Packard Bell iextreme 6060 by
Dave_J_D
Advantages: Good looks & performance, TFT screen, Very quiet, reliability
Disadvantages: Relatively little memory as supplied, cheap mouse
...it's much smoother.
So far it's been rock solid (Touches wood as writes that!) So from now on I'm sticking to 'band Name' PC's - Packard Bell most likely. A bit more expensive, but it pays in reliability, and a VERY helpful user forum at www.packardbell.co.uk ...

- I wanted a computer that would be able to play all the top games at the time, ... ...it to be able to store quite alot of music and other files, for example word documents. And finaly i wanted it to be relatively fast, so i didn't get frustrated with the speed.

Good info for the second hand pc buyer
Review of Emachines 770 by
gaycunttom666
Advantages: Good Solid Components
Disadvantages: Lack Of Ram, Poor Quality Input Devices
I have owned the eMachines 770 for nearly 2years 4months, it was originally purchased as a cheap student machine.
It has served me well in the years i have owned it, i have replaced the minimal amount of things on this machine, mainly the keyboard, mouse and speakers that came with it as they were 'budget' alternatives that i found very 'flimsy'.
The basics of the system are adequate for most of the basic pc use market, it is not meant to be a ... ...basic pc/internet user for browsing ect.
As this system is now nearly 3 years old, the chances are that any potential buyer will be buying second hand, for college work or a low budget family system.
If this is the case then i recommend that you shop around to find one with a RAM upgrade (higher than 256mb) possibly a new keyboard and mouse set, and if you would like it as a system to handle music and media, i suggest a speaker upgrade. ...

Computer
Review of Packard Bell iMedia 4608 by
matthew2007
Advantages: Sounds are very nice
Disadvantages: The harddrive is too small, Not enough RAM or Graphics Memory
...+ into their PC systems, Packard Bell gave me a 850 MhZ that couldnt keep up with the first PC Made! When I turned the PC on, I had to go away for about 10 minuted to let the thing load up fully to be used. You cannot fit a lot onto 20GB on a PC thats supposed to be for Media. Anyone knows that a movie takes up around 700MB - 1GB of space and if you want to store your DVD's on your PC you can only fit about 15 onto 20GB as you need space for other ... ...to replace it. Packard Bell make reliable PC's, they just dont put the relevant things into them. They need to try harder on new PC's to get them up to the standards! They should plan ahead, 300-500GB HDD's should now be put into PC's to cope with the new developments. ...
