iXtreme Value
Review of Packard Bell iextreme 6060 by

Advantages: Good looks & performance, TFT screen, Very quiet, reliability
Disadvantages: Relatively little memory as supplied, cheap mouse
...it's much smoother.
So far it's been rock solid (Touches wood as writes that!) So from now on I'm sticking to 'band Name' PC's - Packard Bell most likely. A bit more expensive, but it pays in reliability, and a VERY helpful user forum at www.packardbell.co.uk ...

Review of Packard Bell iMedia 4608 by
matthew2007
Advantages: Sounds are very nice
Disadvantages: The harddrive is too small, Not enough RAM or Graphics Memory
...+ into their PC systems, Packard Bell gave me a 850 MhZ that couldnt keep up with the first PC Made! When I turned the PC on, I had to go away for about 10 minuted to let the thing load up fully to be used. You cannot fit a lot onto 20GB on a PC thats supposed to be for Media. Anyone knows that a movie takes up around 700MB - 1GB of space and if you want to store your DVD's on your PC you can only fit about 15 onto 20GB as you need space for other ... ...to replace it. Packard Bell make reliable PC's, they just dont put the relevant things into them. They need to try harder on new PC's to get them up to the standards! They should plan ahead, 300-500GB HDD's should now be put into PC's to cope with the new developments. ...

THIS PACKARD`S A BELLE
Review of Packard Bell iMedia 3051 by
stuleg
Advantages: Cheap Cheap Cheap
Disadvantages: Hard-disk on the smallish side
...pounds. This is where the Packard Bell 3051 iMedia comes in; a friend of mine was looking for a new PC and despite my protestations had decided that PC World was the shop to get his custom. A look around the various models on display unearthed what seemed to be a veritable bargain - the above mentioned system for just £310. Some questioning of a shop assistant revealed that this price did not include a monitor but since the friend in question had ... ...CD as well as a Packard Bell recovery DVD Rom should things go wrong and the factory default setup needs to be returned to.
◄A look at the components in more detail►
◄The Processor►
The 3051 is powered by an Intel Celeron 2.6 GHz Processor with 128 kb cache memory which is a budget processor from Intel aimed to counteract the success of AMD`s Duron chip. The Intel Celeron is also very much the poor relation to Intels Pentium ...

Le Diva Computer
Review of Packard Bell Le Div PIII 650 MHz - 15" TFT by
ste231191
Advantages: Looks
Disadvantages: Wiping The Buger!!!!
...processor 3.
The manufacterer is packard bell.
With the computer comes a little like remote control with a touch pad.
The Negatives.
The is one major problem there is no floppy drive so you cannot wipe the computer and I bet (if you are a computer genius) your shouting get an external floppy drive..I've tried it and the BIOS does not recognise it. Apart from that there is no other major problem with the computer. You can easily upgrade to Windows ... ...you need to ring up Packard Bell and ask for the "master cd's" they will send you some cd's but the call charge is 75p* a min. That is on a BT standard line.
The computer has a sound card built in and some speakers right across the front of the monitor. It is not very easy to open up and it is very very hard to get an exact motherboard.
If you brake the keyboard or mouse belive me it is hard trying to ring up and get a new one so my advise is don't ...

iconnect computers provide years of continued use
Review of Packard Bell iConnect 2800i - PIII 800 MHz by
julie_ok
Advantages: fitted with reliable and easy to replace parts
Disadvantages: none stated by an owner of a packard bell i connect 2800i
i have used my packard bell iconnect pc since 1999 i now also have a iconnect 2800i which i have networked together with the other one. both my pcs have never given me any trouble the reboot system is fast and reliable and parts are easy to replace i have owned other pcs and they have lasted no more than two or three years. My iconnect machine has outlived both of these. As i am someone who is qualified in computer engineering i would judge myself ... ...find the added software on packard bell iconnect machines is far outstanding to that of others..The software extras provided include, My packard bell , this is a complete asset to anyone who is not very computer literate and even gives access to a virtual world.. I would tell anyone not to worry when purchasing this pc if you have children because access levels can be set easily. Iconnect machines also live up to there name by providing easy internet ...
