I have know that IBM have been a good reliable make for a while now, but this PC is amazing. The spec that you get for the money is good and in general the PC feels fast, amazing for your day to day tasks, such as word processing and basic picture editing.  Does the job - pity about the noise

Advantages: good looking, powerful, does the job
Disadvantages: hideous fan noise, poor build quality
...and go find a better laptop (such as a Dell or Sony).
Please note that although I am always willing to accept that my laptop is experiencing "rare" and "isolated" issues, I now know that the fan noise is a common Compaq problem.

Apple iMac G3.. its clear

...exclusivity... the fact that only Apple make them (as I'm aware).
P.S. I've never had to deal with customer support directly from Apple so dont know hoe good it is.. they're website is very good though with loads of info on their products, for current users and for customer support (upgrades, patches, faq's etc) ...

Not only are the G4s stylish to look at, they're practical too! I have never opened up a computer ...
