It's still my current computer
Review of Dell Dimension 2350 by
dai_dai_low
Advantages: Very Good Specs
Disadvantages: Slow Inrternal Navigation
The specs on this computer are really worth the money now for it. The computer has now been brought down to about £250 in the shops so it's quite good as a first off computer for people who want to learn how to use and computer and browse the internet and so forth.
The 60GB HDD drive is awesome to hold your own data on however I now have two hard drives in this computer (so that means you can add on hard drives!) and therefore you can increase the ... ...2.2 Ghz is good for simple tasks such as browsing and downloading data onto your computer. You can instal a better intel celeron processor if you want to do more complicated tasks such as downloading at a far more faster speed off different sites.
The RAM is adequate for the use of this computer too. again it's only for simpler tasks more RAM is good for when burning CD's onto disk a lot. A big disadvantage to this computer is the fact that you ...

There's life in the old classic yet!
Review of Amiga A1200 by
p-sutherby
Advantages: Upgradable, Classic, Unique
Disadvantages: Prices for 2nd hand kit!
...long break from using an amiga as a gaming machine, I recently re-discovered the amiga scene and was surprised that long after the death of the company, there is still development of software and hardware for the computer.
The Amiga 1200 is very upgradeable - with options to add various hard drives, Wireless networking, power pc processors and new versions of AmigaOS to add a nice operating system - you can even install linux on the Amiga! I bought ... ...I can use the amiga as a vintage gaming machine and relive the classics of SWOS, Cannon Fodder, Frontier etc for fantastic nostalgia and superb gameplay. As a gaming machine, the Amiga still holds its own - the graphics are clearly not a patch on any modern day console or PC title, but there is a magic about the Amiga and the gameplay it offers. Maybe it's the simplicity, but it is there.
Support is an issue as there are no warranty, however there ...

Review of Dell Dimension XPS T450 by
computershopper
Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Fairly Slow
I got my Dell a couple of years ago when it was a top of the range PC. The Dimension XPS R450 is a hard working machine with a great spec for a commercial machine. Unlike many companies, Dell do not bundle your PC with tons of stupid peripherals that are poor quality or useless. My Dimension XPS 450 came with a Epson Stylus 640 printer, and no Webcam or rubbish scanner which wouldn't have got used anyway.
This system has 128MB RAM which is all you ... ...a P2 450 processor it is more than fast enough to run any programs available at the moment. The 12.8 Gb Hard Disk has tons of space for the average home user and it comes with a Zip Drive to back up your work anyway.
This system comes with a Toshiba DVD ROM which is great for entertainment. The only problem is that the speakers on this system could be better as they are only just powerful enough to listen to the DVD.
I recently upgraded my system ...

iXtreme Value
Review of Packard Bell iextreme 6060 by
Dave_J_D
Advantages: Good looks & performance, TFT screen, Very quiet, reliability
Disadvantages: Relatively little memory as supplied, cheap mouse
...it's much smoother.
So far it's been rock solid (Touches wood as writes that!) So from now on I'm sticking to 'band Name' PC's - Packard Bell most likely. A bit more expensive, but it pays in reliability, and a VERY helpful user forum at www.packardbell.co.uk ...
