Review of Fujitsu Siemens ESPRIMO Edition P2511 - Core 2 Duo E4300 1.8 GHz by
gdogga
Advantages: good look, relatively cheap, dvd burner, 160gb hdd
Disadvantages: not enough RAM, processor isnt that good
I have this computer at home. its a great piece of machinery, although its a tad slow and i had the RAM double to now leave me with 2gb, i find that this processor, compared to that of the one in my office is slow. but for the price, this personal desktop computer is a bargain, it has great features, including a dvd burner, and a relatively large hard drive. the overall look of the computer is amazing, it looks like its worth a lot more money. building ...

Quality, Style, and Reliability
Review of Dell Inspiron 530 - Pentium Dual Core E2140 1.6 GHz - 17" TFT by
Shroud
Advantages: easy to set up and use, quiet running, upgrades well worth the small cost
Disadvantages: getting used to Vista, but that's me
...hubby, who snagged a free Dell lappy during the AOL promo). We looked over the various models the Dell web site had to offer, and decided to customise this particular one.
I love to play games on my PC, so I was not willing to settle for the basic onboard graphics that came as standard, so opted to upgrade that bit to the optional ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT graphics card. With 256 of power, the graphics are clear, sharp, and utterly beautiful. When playing ... ...chose to upgrade to the Dell 20 inch wide screen model. With its non glare screen and easy tilt to adjust stand features, it does the card justice. Its large enough view DVDs comfortably from seating several feet away, showing nice, clear images that make my TV seem as Flintstone vintage as it nearly is, but not so large that my desk looks overcrowded or that it shouts "Look at ME, I'm FLASH!". Now, my old PC was not the most memory heavy and I had ...

Small is Good
Review of HP Pavilion Slimline s7715.uk - Athlon 64 3500+ 2.2 GHz by
Gernella
Advantages: Looks good, quiet, got sufficient USB ports, plenty of space and software
Disadvantages: Wouldn't suit gamers, not designed to poke inside or add drives etc
Small form, ideal for a second pc or first time user as all software is loaded already. Fires up quickly, apart from a slight hum you wouldn't know it was there. No good if you like poking about and adding bits and pieces although you can upgrade the ram quite easily. Looks quite neat sat in the corner of my lounge with a small 15" screen. About the size of a extra fat laptop. I use picture editing quite a lot and have no problems at all with speed. ... ...there. Although it runs Vista basic I can still do automatic backups with the windows software. If you are new to computers there is no need to buy extra software as it is all included although no discs (your first job is to create a backup disc although there is a recovery drive you can use). I've had it about six weeks now and I am highly delighted for such a small price. ...
