The Best Windows for Any Room in the House!
Review of HP Media Center m1261.uk Photosmart PC - P4 530 3 GHz by
thomashine
Advantages: Extremely fast, Great sound, Wireless keyboard and mouse, Remote control, TV and Computer!, Removable hard drive, Wireless capability
Disadvantages: No monitor, Uninspiring tower design, Flimsy HP flip-down CD flaps
...- on this computers' case HP have added:
> HP Image Zone
> HP Tunes
You select your option using the keyboard, mouse, or remote control, and away you go! The options are fairly self-explanitory:-
> Play DVD allows you to play any DVD that you place in the hard drive, with all your usual functionality of a DVD Player.
> Online Spotlight - a feature exclusive to the media centre PC - this allows you to surf channel providers, and watch streaming ... ...can be controlled by the HP Remote Control - an extremely useful device!
Some of what I've written doesn't even touch the surface of what's available to you in the Media Center software! To get the whole grasp of the Media Center software - I would recommend experiencing it at a computer store - or viewing some screenshots - a quick search on Google will find some helpful ones.
That's enough about the software and OS - here's some stats about the ...

HP Media Centre set to explode!
Review of HP Media Center m7081.uk Photosmart PC - P4 540 3.2 GHz by
Aelred2k6
Advantages: High Spec and a Few Hidden Extras
Disadvantages: Doesn't Really Look Like a Media Centre
Ok, so my title is a bit OTT, but there isn't much this PC cannot do, add an integrated toaster and it would be perfect. Even though I have had the PC for about a year I'm new to Ciao so I thought I better write a review for thing that brought me and Ciao together.
~*~Cosmetics~*~
To look at the M7081 looks like every other home PC. I'm not going to tell how it doesn't… because it does. The familiar tower structure is fairly plain ... ...of the case, the connectivity panel is well hidden by one of the two sliding doors on the front, what's behind the other will come later on. The look of the PC is more suited to bedroom rather than at the heart of the home as the name "Media Centre" suggests, the two tone chrome effect works well the blue light that emits from the power button and other crevasses. I am in no way trying to imply that this PC is ugly but you could find more attractive ...

iMac - Amazing
Review of Apple iMac Core 2 Duo 2.66 GHz - 20" TFT by
benpowell2008
Advantages: Speed, looks, ease of use.
Disadvantages: None
I bought my iMac as I my "PC" was due for replacement and had become unreliable. A few of my friends have iMacs and I was instantly grabbed by the design and ease of use when I sat in front of one. Some of this is due to the software that comes pre-loaded onto the iMac. I went for the 2GB version with the 2.66 Processor as the prices had just dropped. The iMac boots up lightening quick compared to my PC. In around 15 seconds I can be using the system ... ...is extremely clear and at 20 inch - large enough for most people to use as their home computer. I thought I would be keeping the PC to one side to use when the iMac didn't have the ability to do a certain job but I have thrown it away now as everything I need to do works. The beauty of the iMac is that it does exactly what you except. No fuss, first time - every time. It comes pre-loaded with the operating system and iLife08 which had iPhoto, iDVD ...

Dream Dell
Review of Dell OptiPlex 740 by
Jar_Dude
Advantages: Very organized.
Disadvantages: Pricy.
The Dell OptiPlex is a very unique machine, manufactured very well. There are several types of OptiPlex, Ultraslim, Slim, Mini-Tower, and the Standard size. The way these machines were made makes it easy to upgrade, use, and is extremely user friendly. There are a wide selection of monitors available from your standard monitor, to a widescreen LCD. You can customize the keyboard and mouse, operating system, such as Vista, Vista Ultimate, and Vista ...

Hp Computer
Review of HP Compaq Business Desktop dc7800 - Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4 GHz by
Jar_Dude
Advantages: Very clean, easy use system.
Disadvantages: A little pricy.
Hp is the best computer brand to date. Hp is the most user friendly, most customizable, and also the most stable. I have never heard of a bad review about Hp before. Definitely recommend Hp to a friend. Hp seems to last the longest out of any Pc. Hp customer care is very genuine and you always get a live person. There are a number of things you can customize, the chassis (body) with different sizes, designs, and a number of different styles. Prices ...
