    I seem to be going back in time in the products that I am using in my home. Not only have I started to use vinegar and baking soda again but I have also started to use Dettol, not only in the first aid kit but also for cleaning. I think everyone has some childhood memories of Dettol. It was certainly in use when I was at school, a long time ago now! I went to a small country school with just 60 pupils and we had a very hard play ground on which we used to skin our knees and elbows.     Dettol is a household name and one that I have come to trust. My parents and grandparents have used it and I have continued the trend with my children and grandchildren. Dettol is a disinfectant and an antiseptic liquid. It has a multitude of uses but I mainly use it now for antiseptic purposes. I remember cutting my knees as a child and my mum swabbing down my legs with this stinging liquid! It is a great product to have as it stops wounds becoming infecting.     I always remember Dettol from when I was a little girl, there was always a bottle in our medicine cabinet. A bottle of Dettol usually costs between £2 and £3 for a 250ml bottle and can be bought in chemists, supermarkets and even many discount style stores, I think that dettol is great value as you tend tyo use it diluted so you get much more than 250mls out of a bottle and it does a number of jobs.
