Advantages: Connection speed is really good and range is quite wonderful Disadvantages: Sometimes gets disconnected
...I have used Netgear router and based on my experience i can say that performance wise its really good. There are some problems like connection gets disconnected sometimes but that happens because of other frequencies as well, so if you configure your router in a good way, it really gives you a great output.
It's key features are:
5 in 1: Modem, router, firewall, 4-port switch & wireless access point ,Compatible with 802.11b wireless networks and True Firewall & WPA-PSK encryption protects against intruders.
The best thing i like about this is that The built-in True Firewall features Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) and Denial of Service (DOS), which operate as your first line of attack against intruders. The DG834G provides both WEP and WPA-PSK wireless encryption standards to protect your network from eavesdroppers and bandwidth...

Advantages: Reliability and value for money. Disadvantages: Operating temperature.
...In my opinion this broadband ADSL router is one of the best on the market considering its price.
I have been using this model (I've had different versions) for a number of years and never have I known one to fail; this is especially impressive considering I never turned them off when in use. I am a very heavy internet user and when configured correctly delivers on the speed that you would expect.
In terms of 'plug and play', there is very little needed to be configured on this product to start surfing away and it comes with a single quick start sheet that shows clearly how to access the configuration page through a web browser initially.
For more advanced users it is very easy to configure port-forwarding (useful when playing online games or downloading via peer-to-peer to achieve the desired connection speeds). It even supports VPN...

Advantages: Reasonable price, easy to use, lots of advanced settings Disadvantages: installation firewall issue, signal strengh only reasonable
...I bought this router from a local Argos shop at an emergency situation i.e. I want it now and therefore not at the best price - 49.99.
Reason: My all singing and all dancing Dynamode R-ADSL-C4W-EG - wirelessrouter had lost its main function, 'internet connectivity' after a month or so of continuous use (see my other review, now updated, for details). All is left is wireless communication i.e. useless. The return of this router back to Amazon caused me a week (lots of emails + recorded delivery + check that the refund includes the recorded delivery etc)
For Argos, there is an obvious advantage - if there is something wrong with it, I just take it back for a refund/replacement on the same day.
This router comes with detail instructions (step-by-step) for installation however it does not cater for the presence of a firewall...
