This is the game that turned me from a casual gamer into an addicted gamer. I was one of the few people who actually played diablo 1, and found it amazing. So when this was released, and I had a computer capable of running it, I duely made the purchase. Instantly the game outranked its predecessor by far. The choice of characters, skills and items was vastly improved. The characters are as follows

Barbarian: A fairly generic RPG character, the muscle of the choices. Various melee abilities and some "buff" skills that improve stats.

Amazon: The female "muscle" character. You can chose to have her wield a bow/crossbow, or a spear/javelin or have her use both!

Sorceress: One of the most fun characters to chose from. 3 different styles of magic mean you can play this character so many different ways.

Necromancer: The most original character to grace diablo2. Prior to modern updates, you could summon upwards of 60 monsters (this was particularly fun!)

Paladin: A complex character with many different ways to play. Often one of the more powerfull PVP characters.

This game now is rather outdated, but in its day was the greatest online rpg ever. If you still haven't played it. Please do, you will probably lose a year or two to its charm!
