I saw Dial Direct in the Yellow pages and thought I would try them, but they themselves are not an insurance company, they simply take all your details, and then scan the UK's leading insurance companies for the best quote. This is a good thing to have, as you do not have to phone all the insurance companies yourself and give all the information out to every company you phone. Dial Direct take the hassle out of getting an insurance quote.
The only disadvantage is that there is no contact between you and your insurance company, you always contact Dial Direct if you need to. I have insurance with Norwich Union, (through Dial Direct) but all insurance goes through Dial Direct.

...few weeks later I rang Dial Direct to get a quotation for a second car I had purchased, but the operator couldn't access my account because the orginal policy has been 'suspended' - but nobody had bothered to contact me. The operator took my details and promised to contact me the next day. Two weeks later I received two letters from Dial Direct: one regarding 'payment for your insurance', and a second one with a car insurance policy quotation. I ... ...the policy at the price Dial Direct had offered and recived the insurance certificate - nobody bothered to contact me to tell me otherwise. To add insult to injure the new quotation price is less than what I orignally paid, yet the old policy cannot be transferred - I have to pay for a new policy and then get a refund on the old one. Having had a minor breakdown, a radiator hose went, and not having a clue about car repairs I called the National Breakdown. I was covered through my insurance company (DialDirect)for free so I gave them a ring. The first number I called was my insurance company, but they put me on to the right number.
Three minutes later, having answered half a dozen questions, I was told I would be seen within the hour.
Forty minutes later a breakdown wagon arrived from a local garage, the mechanic found the hose that was at fault and removed it (no mean feat). Unfortunatly for me I was only coverded for road side assistance so he could not go and get a part for me. But he gave me his mobile number and sasid he would return to fit the part when I got one.
This is what I call service, quick, no hassle and helpfull ...

If the back pencil represents the speedo dial and the front pencil represents the speedo needle you can see that by not looking directly over the needle you can get a wrong reading. Any electrician worth his salt will know about parallax error as the multimeters that they use have a mirror embedded in the face to enable you to align the needle with it's image, thus ensuring that you are looking directly at the dial and getting an accurate reading.

the rear there are two further compartments in the floor wells.
The seats are comfy and offer reasonable support and each of the 2 front seat have an arm rest (which can be swung up out of the way), this aides comfort, however due to the width of the car there is gap of about 8 inches between the two front sets - this takes a little getting used to.The rear has 3 full sized seats each with s 3 point seat belt.
