I purchsed by mobile phone from Dial A Phone a few months ago.
The phone I purchased was the new nokia 8310. At the time, many places were offering the phone free of charge, but Dial A Phone charged me £50.00 for the phone. However, they gave me a hands free kit, free accessory set and 3 months free insurance.
The reason why I processed the deal with Dial A Phone was because their insurance rates were a lot lower than everywhere else.
They only charge about £6.00 per month for insurance, and it is through Domestic insurance...other places I went to enquire about prices were about £28.00 for 3 months or something along those lines.

Gaining Information
--------------------
Before I actually purchased my phone I called their sales line to ask if I could have some advice on the phone, and I asked the overall price on the phone and what the price included and what exactly my rates would be. The operator I spoke to on the phone told me to look up the website to get this information as they were sales only!!!
I found this very cheeky and very bad customer service...what would happen if I did not have internet!!!
Ordering My Phone
------------------
Anyway, I ordered my phone over the telephone, with another operator.
I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought, ok, maybe the gentleman I spoke to was having a bad day!!
I was wrong! The operator I spoke to was just as nasty...however, I wanted the phone, and I figured that I would only spite myself if I didnt order the phone.
The operator went through things very quickly, and processed the sale.
Delivery
---------
Delivery was within 3 days im sure, if I remember correctly, you can pick the day you want the phone to be delivered, infact they may also do next day delivery.
I was impressed with the delivery service because it came on time (although I did have to pay extra to receive it between 8am-12pm) I just signed the papers, and I had my phone.
Product
--------
The product was what I expected, all contents were in the package, so I was happy with that, and overall I am very happy with my phone.
I connected to the T-Mobile network, who are fantastic, very helpful.
Customer Concern
-----------------
Anyway, shortly after I received my phone, I was going on holiday abroad....I was under the impression that I would be able to use my phone abroad, as my boyfriend also purchased the same phone, same network, except he bought his from Phones 4 U.
I was really angry, as my phone did not work abroad, and since I travel frequently, it is essential I have a phone which operates.
I came home and complained to Dial A Phone, they told me to phone my network provider (T-Mobile)..which I did...T-Mobile told me it is to the discression of Dial A Phone, so I called them back, and they just had no time for me.
This time I called customer services, I spoke to supervisors, but still no one had any time for me.
I called T-Mobile back, they eventually sorted things out...what happened was that when I ordered my phone, Dial A Phone are meant to specify weither or not I could use my phone abroad.
As I have never been a T-Mobile customer before, they would not let me use it abroad. However, if I had raised the issue at the time of order, something woudl have been arranged, but because of the senceless advisors, there wasnt a lot I could do.
Junk Mail
-----------
Every couple of weeks, they send me flyers and junk mail.
Anytime I have had to call the customer services line, they are arrogant, cheeky and have no time for you.
Overall, my experience with Dial A Phone has been a disaster. I won't be placing another order with them ever again, unless their services improve.
Products and offers and fantastic, but its just the customer service that is terrible.
If you have any comments on my opinion, please don't hessitate to add. Carol x

I have just spoken with dial a phone about my faulty mobile. It will not charge. There policy is for me to return the mobile in original packaging so they can inspect it in case it is me and not faulty at all. This will leave me without my mobile for approx 5-10 days, when I pointed this out they stated this isn't a problem and they were helping me. I feel I am being penalised for them providing a faulty mobile. I have been on to my service provider 3 who are will to issue a new cahrger/battery, but why aren't dial a phone so helpful? I couldn't even understand the manager as he was mumbling so much then when I asked to speak to someone else he said he would transfer me and cut me off. My only sadness is I have just signed a 12 month contract

I had a bad experience with Dial-a-phone (see my review), the worst thing was the waiting - being on hold for a good half hour listening to Gabriel's 'Dreams' over and over again aaaah! Misery loves a bit of company. ian

Fab opinion; sounds just like my experiences with Dial-a-phone. Not for the faint-hearted! Value for money is excellent so long as you don't have any problems...
