Advantages: Very low maintenance required. Disadvantages: 240 volt needed, low voltage would be safer.

I have found it powerful enough to give a good supply to the filter box as well as running ... ...flow down to avoid overflow problems with my filter box.
As with all 240 volt appliances in the garden, a RCD should be used in the power supply for absolute safety.
My pump runs day and night, three hundred and sixty five days a year, and seems as good now as when I bought it.
