    Advantages Advantages in less than 6 weeks I had near perfect skin (and it used to be AWFUL)

    Disadvantages Disadvantages I experienced some discontinuity with my period

    So I'll start with this bit Listed potential Side Effects:- . bleeding and spotting between periods . headaches . feeling/being sick . sore breasts . depressive moods . loss of interest in sex . changes in weight . chloasma (yellow patches on the skin) . poor tolerance to contact lenses What do you do? I got a pink packet that it easily set up with the days of the week on so I didn't lose track. You take 1 a day for 21 days and then have a break of 7 days.     Advantages Advantages Reduced body hair growth, no pregnancy

    Disadvantages Disadvantages long breakthrough bleeds (after 8 years of taking), mood swings (after 8 years of taking)

    I was on Dianette for 6 years, then after a break of two years have been on again for a year. I originally went on this pill for both contraceptive purposes and to help with my hirsutism (excessive body hair). It did help reduce my hair slightly (although not to a great extent - I was hairy!) and I had no side effects that I could note. I recently had a short 4 month break, and went back on. For some reason I experienced extended bleeding (lasting nearly a month) when I first went on and breakthrough bleeds which I had never experienced before.     As with a lot of women out there I suffer with Adult Acne. No matter how much you wash your skin, or how many chocolates you sacrifice there is just no cure. Not for me anyway. Or so I thought. I had been talking to my GP about possible treatments for Acne, and had heard through the Internet that the Contraceptive Pill can sometimes be the cause of Acne. But if you don't want hundreds of kids running around what choice was there but to take the Pill.     I started taking Dianette 5 months ago as the current pill I was taking (Cileste) was causing bad acne, and other pills i had tried had given me bad mood swings. I noticed a difference in my skin after about a week, which I was really pleased with. Although i was still getting a few spots, I put it down to not taking my makeup off after a night out! (Dianette wont stop these sorts of spots!) My skin was also less oily and so my makeup stayed on much longer.     I took Dianette for three years. I used it as a contraceptive pill and to help prevent acne. If only I was told the truth behind this pill from my doctors. When I was first prescribed this pill I asked the doctor many questions about side-effects and dosage which he assured me would be okay. Before taking the pill I read through the very long instruction booklet. I started taking the pill and everything was going okay.     experiencing dizziness ,diaorea and fainting after taking 1 pill of dianette

    Hi there id be very happy if someone gave me some answers as im very worried and confused:( yesterday my GP prescribed me dianette for my mild acne. my period finished a week ago so i started taking the tablet yesterday as its not for contraceptive purpose.i took it at 7pm. when i woke up in the morning i felt sick and dizzy.and had diaorea. i was on the toilet and next thing i know im on the floor.can this be from the 1 pill i had taken?
