Introduction Firstly, let me apologise for another lengthy review (for those of you who read my Cambridge Diet review, you’ll know by now that I love a detailed review!). Diet Chef Hamper I seen the diet chef website online and thought i'd give it a go. I've been trying to lose weight for about a year now since i had my daughter Sky and thought it would be a good way to try and get the weight off. I was wrong! What is Diet Chef? I am just coming to the end of my 'Diet Chef' hampers. I signed up for two months, and due to having had some weekends away, it has been extended by a couple of weeks. I am a calorie counter, but despite only wanting to drop a stone in weight, I found that the 1500 calories per day that was recommended everywhere was not making me drop. So I went down to 1000 - still no weight loss. I have previously been signed up to Tesco Diet on the internet, but found that I strayed too much, as it was too tempting to forget. How I came to going on this diet I put on weight a few years ago- I found that my usual ways of losing weight by cutting down on what I ate- didn't work, I tried several diets- nothing worked- I went on Atkins- lost a stone in 6 weeks & then for health reasons- began weight watchers diet- I ended up losing 2 ½ stone in total. I used diet chef 1 year ago to lose 1 stone. It worked, no question, but the food was not great, but hey, I lost a whole stone! Over Xmas I put on some weight (like most people), and decided to give diet chef a go again, BIG MISTAKE. Unlike the first time, when I could just about stomach the food, this time it was absolutely horrendous. Let me break it down - Shakes - Vomit in a carton. Chalky, terrible aftertaste, just grim. Soups - I tried the tomato soup, took one mouthful and chucked the rest in the bin. The other soups followed the same fate. The smell, the taste.....grim grim grim ... more
